1. Family Guy
2. Futurama
3. The Simpsons

I think Family Guy has proven to be the funniest, personally. American Dad is funny too but I rarely watch it because I don't like rip off programmes. Futurama I like because each episode usually has more of a plot to it than the other shows, although it's not always as funny. The Simpsons is still a classic and funny; I agree with betiko that the newer episodes are better. The poor quality makes me cringe in the earlier episodes.

I've recently noticed Archer is on Netflix and thought about trying it after seeing all the discussion here, because I've never watched it. What's it like?

Someone mentioned Dragonball Z too, that's legendary, still love it but rarely watch it.

Try it really. The best one in my opinion.
Little quick presentation of characters and their personalities (you might not want to read it if you hate the slightest spoiler, but all this comes in the pilot episode presentation more or less)
The life of the biggest asshole super agent with a huge oeudipian complex... And his mum happens to be his boss. His super hot ex girlfriend is his field agent partner who dates the lame accountant. The secretary is a nuts masochist nymphomaniac, the HR woman is fat nymphomaniac bisexual and gross, the tech guy is psychotic and has a holographic manga-like girlfriend, the other field agent is gay, and then you have archer's housekeeper, nicest guy possible alays treated like shit. That s about it for the main characters, and the story evolves pretty much, with nice plots.

Cheers, I'll try it this weekend.

Let's not forget there's about 5 different people (so far) who could potentially be Archer's father and the mild mannered accountant who keeps getting pulled into Archer's missions.

IMHO... Family Guy has it's moments, but is way to inconsistent
with a bad habit of killing time with filler. With Brian gone...
Stewie's about all there is.

The Simpsons has been well written for all these years
that no other cartoon is even in it's league.

Does Sci-Fi count? Aeon Flux

Just voted. Very pleased to see that the Cleveland Show had zero votes.

I first misread the topic as "Britain is dead", I now am disappointed and will complain here.

AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

South Park?

Avatar the Last Airbender? (yeah, I know, not "adult" like the others, but still very good)

King of the Hill?

South Park is good. I wouldn't put it even with the Simpsons over all or ahead of Futurama. I think this theme is centered basically on adult themed comedy cartoon.

Isn't Brian supposed to reappear or something? would suck if he does. Family guy is not as fun as it used to be, no surprise, they've been at it for a decade or something and are obviously struggling to come up with material. That's why The Simpsons started sucking and it will be the reason whatever series will take up the mantel will start sucking too. Few series have always sucked and still been left on, South Park is definitely one of those though. Damn they suck, and they've always sucked!

Never said anything about it being hilarious. Just an adult oriented cartoon.

Don't know. That one is just infamous. Never actually watched it, but hard NOT to hear about it or see it mentioned.
