Angola's Map Blaster (JPlo64 wins!)
Angola's Map Blaster
I'm sure a few of the old timers remember the Map Blaster tournaments, where you played all the maps at once. In the later years, as the maps on our fair site increased, you'd get 50 games per week until you were playing all the maps at once.
The guys that ran the old Map Blasters are long gone and since I ran a version of the original Map Blaster, I thought I'd see if I can find 16 hearty souls to take on the 243 maps* available today.
We will play 50 games at once, starting every two weeks until we have all 243 knocked out.
The top four in each group will move on to the finals, and we will do it all over again.
This will be 8-man, escalating (no 6-player maps will be played), sequential, chained, sunny.
Premium only.
Scoring will be:
12 for the winner
7 for seventh eliminated
6 for sixth eliminated
5 for fifth eliminated
4 for fourth eliminated
3 for third eliminated
2 for second eliminated
1 for first eliminated
So, who wants to go crazy and play 243* maps in about 2 months?
This tournament is not for the feint of heart and if you don't think you can handle the workload - and it will be intense - then you shouldn't sign up.
* - denotes you might not play all 243, as there are some maps designed for less than 8 players and some maps aren't available. Also, since we have to do two rounds to be an official tournament, you may play more games in each round.

You are going to find new maps to love and maps to absolutely despise, but it will be fun in an insane 100+ games going on at once way.
