They lost to Austria in the qualifier.

Canada or Finland will win Group B, with the runner-up finishing 4th or 5th out of group play.

Czech Republic or Sweden will win Group C, with the runner-up finishing 4th or 5th out of group play.

Group A is tough as Russia, USA, and Slovakia all have strong teams that could win the group. Due to this, whichever team finishes second in the group will be 6th in the overall standings.

IF the Americans beat both Russia and Slovakia in group play, they have a good shot. The schedule of men's hockey at the Olympics means it will be very, very difficult to win without getting a bye into the semi-finals.

I'm cheering for the USA. Although, I fully admit to hoping that Sweden (6 Wings participating, a 7th was selected), Russia (1 Wing), and Slovakia (2 Wings) do well. But mostly, USA (1 Wing, 3rd string goalie Jimmy Howard, who won't play unless Quick and Miller get hurt).

Unbelievable!!! So basically the religious clothing is not for religion at all. It is to cheat. If this is at the behest of the religious leaders it shows once and for all their hypocrisy. If it is done by coaches that are non-religious, then it is just plain cheating.
