Re: Break-Up California
Well I heard that your state could be sinking,
deep into the briny sea,
and all of them earthquakes got you thinking,
'bout leaving Californee-ee.
There's riots and there's flood and it's smoggy,
toxic waste on yonder beach,
and all of them hippies down in Santa Cruz,
are startin' to suck just like a leech.
You're sick of sunshine and surfing,
you've had all the tofu you can take,
well lookee here times a-wastin',
you just move to the Centennial state!

Yeah, F*CK CALIFORNIA.

When I look in on the obituaries it's amazing how many people were born in other states and decided to come here especially from the cold north.

Still waiting for the sinking to begin.
And the earthquakes I will take my chances with instead of the yearly twisters, hurricanes and freezing temperatures.
I suppose I can handle the hippies better than the cultists in Texas.
I prefer a nice porter house with a glass of red wine myself.
Always sorry I didn't take up surfing thou. Maybe that is on my bucket list.
Toxic waste on the beach could be a drag but I suppose it is better than being next to 3 mile island.
I'll just stick it out here in California and take my chances.

This is like people in Nome, Alaska laughing when it hits -30 C in Calgary. "You guys think it's cold? Well, it's DAMN cold here!"
Whether it's -30 C or -50 C, those are still conditions for polar bears, not people. =)

Thanks a lot, Beijing. Not only do you have to dump all over us in Hong Kong, but now you're exporting your pollution across the Pacific. =)
Re: Break-Up California
Correct me if I'm wrong but the AQI in Los Angeles rarely passes 60, which is just over the 0-50 considered as 'Good'. Complaining about that is more like my African friends complaining that it's cold when it's 10C outside.
lel'd at your news story. Last year west Japan got hit pretty bad by China's smog. Is it bad in HK? I was in Guizhou recently and the air was fantastic.

They made their bed. I didn't expect you wouldn't have a problem with thinking they should sleep in it.

Combine that with all the people from the warm south. Which do you think is more?

Do you think the rest of the states should have to pay for California's expenses?

Mostly from the north. It is all those people that watched the Rose Parade in January and said, "hell with this minus 10 crap and 3 feet of snow".

Of course you should. Considering all these transplants came from other states and alleviated the unemployment from their former states for the plentiful jobs at the times. Of course quit a few of them returned to their former states after retirement and now are spending their money there without the state worried about employing them.

I have some inside information that Rhode Island is tossing around the idea of seceding and joining the Russian Federation. Please post your suggestions on to either stop or facilitate their secession.

This just in, I have word that Tasmania is looking to secede from Australian oppressors, citing the destruction of their deviled namesake. No word yet on if the Russian Federation will allow them to join. Please post your suggestions to either stop or facilitate their secession.

Don't forget that Taiwan is still under revolutionary military occupation. It's more armed insubordination than secession, but what should be done about it?

The Japanese should buy it.

Hm, good point. Based on extensive research, I've found this:

The seed has already been laid it looks like. Soon they'll be in the Federation as well.
