20 teams, 60 players

I have requested privileges but will continue to accept teams until the first games are issued.

With 20 teams the first two rounds will be nine sets of 3 teams (9 players), and one 6 players triples match.

All matchups, which will be different for every game, will be with random.org.

what happens if a player deliberately runs out of time to not have a card? It happened in game 14251709.

As far as I know it is within the rules. It doesn't piss me off like missed turns so I didn't write any restrictions on it. Maybe it should be a case of wider CC discussion about allowable or not. I have done it myself although not on purpose. Just playing too late at night and falling asleep. Like any tactic it can turn around and bite someone.

So in this tournament it is allowable, the missed turns are not. I saw that in another tournament and borrowed the idea because missed turns really do piss me off.

Part of making up a tournament means you get to outlaw things CC would allow.

ok thanks for the info. Very unfair tactik, but if you allow it, I'll use it for my own purpose then!

I agree that it is pushing the limits. So far I have only used it to my disadvantage by falling asleep. Perhaps start a suggestion thread, and get a wider opinion from CC folk

everyone in clan world agree that we can't do that. It's totally unfair. But if you (as the tournament organisator) allow it here, I'll be sure to use it to my own advantage because you let other teams do it to their own!

It is interesting to know the clan world doesn't allow it. They collectively have a lot more experience than I and if they think it is a bad idea then it probably is. Still this tournament is set up allowing it, so I am not going to change in the middle.

For my information, how is it policed in the clans and how is it enforced/penalized? I would appreciate knowing. It will help me write better tournaments. Thanks.

Normaly, in a clan war game with nukes, if a player runs out of time on a game, we give him a warning and if it happens again, the game has to be replayed. It depends of each clan war, but usually it goes like this.

You'll know for the future :)

The Allies party eliminated themselves in the District 2 Flat race by accumulating their 4th miss. Their 4 Poos became independent and were picked up by the festivus party and the Btj party.

The French Commanders, the CHANO Y CHON PARTY, and the NjJE party all failed to win a race and are eliminated. Thus creating 8 independents.

All District 3, Vancouver games issued.

We now have 17 Parties, so on each setting there is one 6 person (two party) matchup. That represents the smaller Districts

Once again a reminder:
4 missed turns per team over the whole tournament eliminates that team

I currently do not have a premium membership and the wife is somewhere with my card. I will get this sorted out before the current invites expire. There won't be any problem with me in this tourney. I just got caught by surprise on my membership expiry. Time flies when you are having fun.

Im in a clan (yours by the way !) and I totally agree with that kind of taktic. It is not unfair at all, it's part of the game to get a card or not. It can happen in speed game flat rate and anybody makes a case of it. Its only because it's nuclear that people whinning. If spoils was an obligation you would receive it automaticly no matter you ran or not of time.
