KennyC's Private League
Note: This is a private league, all players have already been invited.
Here’s the general idea, each person will have the same number of “home” games where they get to choose the map (I am thinking two each, and standard single games, flat cards, unlimited fort). A schedule will be determined ahead of time with opponents spread out as evenly as possible. One round will be played at a time so everyone is playing one game in the league at a time (two or three games per round depending on # of players) We will keep track of the standing through a point system, below is my proposed system.
4-player game
1st place – 10 points
2nd place – 5 points
3rd place – 2 points
5 player game
1st place – 12 points
2nd place – 6 points
3rd place – 3 points
Note: if two players are eliminated on one persons turn they will split the points for the two places, half points will be rounded up.
At the end of the season, the top four players will play in a championship Classic map game.
Definite Players:
KennyC
Mother Land
badonkadonk
dr3w
El_Tigro
Tatonka1219
Waiting to hear:
tastygroove
unitsmoke
king of moria
jackary
TheWhiteKnight
double_kill
I'll plan on 12 players for now, if we do not get 100% participation I am sure we can find an alternate. I'll post a schedule ASAP.

I am glad to see there is some interest from some new players, but I need to give the remaining 3 guys at least one more day if not two before I add new players (just for some context everyone invited is connected in the real world in someway like school work or family).
Updates: Schedule is 70% complete, I'll post it hopefully by tonight.
Idea for Championship game: As some added incentive to win the regular season, the top player will get to choose the championship map for "home field advantage".
Home game clarification: If it is your home game, you may choose any map regardless of previous decisions of different maps or other players choosing the same map.

I spoke with Gunga yesterday, it seems the server keeps kicking him out, and now won't even let him sign in. He thoughts are that it has to do with several household members, namley himself and his two sons, using the same computer, and ergo the same IP, and the server recognizing this as multiple accounts. So he's out for now, and probably for good.

Ok, I have a schedule set, unfortunately my laptop battery is dying and it is not formatted properly on this message board so I don't have time to fix it tonight. I'll put it up tomorrow.
As for TheWhiteKnight, lets give him a chance to get logged on, and if we find that it is not going to happen it looks like we have a number of possible alternates who are willing to join (if it comes to it I'll go with the first to ask, they both have good feedback). Either way we can at least get the ball rolling tomorrow on two of the three first round games.

Ok, the schedule is ready, see link below:
http://www.knarlytech.com/conquerclub.html
The top players for each game have home field, they are responsible for creating and inviting the designated opponents. If I did it correctly, players will only play opponents once for their home game (If I play El_Tigro in my first home game, he should not be in either of my other two home games). I did my best to evenly spread out all opponents, but it proved to be a more difficult task than I had orignally anticipated.
Lets hope TheWhiteKnight gets back on soon, if it does not happen in the next two days we will use an alternate.
Lets start with round 1, I'll e-mail the home guys to tell them to start their games.
Good luck guys!!
ps. tatonka, the championship game will be the choice of the top player from the regular season for "home field advantage".
pps. the web page will be a work in progress and will eventually have standings, links to current and past games, and results.

Hey KennyC
From your original post, it seems there are points awarded for eliminating players, as well as winning the game.
We just completed the our first game, 436754. I eliminated the other three players and won the game. So how many points do I get?
Might I add, Drew played tough, took a chance and almost made it happen. He played well, and if there was a way for the winner, or anyone in the game, to pick a Favorite Opponent, for a particular game, he would get my vote.
Here's an idea. After each game, the player's can submit an e-mail to you, declaring their favorite player for that game. Each vote is worth one point. Drew would get my vote for this game.
Cheers,
Keith
