All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You do not need to do anything more than join one or more of the TPA4 events that will be announced on Mondays. Check back on the scoreboard to see how you're doing:
To win this tournament, it will not be enough to be a team player and help your team to victory - for it is not only your opponents you have to watch out for. You must also be able to be your own team, or your teammates may have to leave you behind!
This tournament will consist of team and poly games (with 2 1v1s thrown in at the end), so it is PREMIUM-ONLY, unfortunately.
All games will be on random maps - auto, sequential, escalating, chained, foggy, no trench, 20 round limit.
HOW IT WORKS:
Round 1: Quadruples/poly 4
60 players are placed onto 15 teams of 4.
Each team is randomly matched up against 2 other teams.
Each pair of teams will play a quadruples game - players get 1 point for eliminating an opposing player, and each player who is alive at the conclusion of the game will receive 1 additional point.
Additionally, each player will play a poly 4 game against each player on the opposing team - winning player in each game gets 1 point.
The 8 teams with the highest total scores move on to Round 2 - WITHOUT their lowest-scoring player.
Ties between teams will be broken by: total points earned in team games, total score of highest-scoring players, points earned by highest-scoring players in team games, total score of second-highest-scoring players, points earned by second-highest-scoring players in team games, total score of third-highest-scoring players, points earned by third-highest-scoring players in team games, team game with tourney settings.
Ties between players will be broken by: points earned in poly games, poly game with tourney settings.
Points DO carry over from one round to the next.
Round 2: Triples/poly 3
24 players are placed onto 8 teams of 3.
Each team is randomly matched up against 1 other team.
Each pair of teams will play a triples game - players get 1 point for eliminating an opposing player, and each player who is alive at the conclusion of the game will receive 1 additional point.
Additionally, each player will play a poly 3 game against each player on the opposing team - winning player in each game gets 1 point.
The 4 teams with the highest total scores move on to Round 3 - WITHOUT their lowest-scoring player.
Ties between teams will be broken by: total points earned in team games, total score of highest-scoring players, points earned by highest-scoring players in team games, total score of second-highest-scoring players, points earned by second-highest-scoring players in team games, team game with tourney settings.
Ties between players will be broken by: points earned in poly games, poly game with tourney settings.

Round 3: Doubles/poly 2
8 players are placed onto 4 teams of 2.
Each team is randomly matched up against 1 other team.
Each pair of teams will play a doubles game - players get 1 point for eliminating an opposing player, and each player who is alive at the conclusion of the game will receive 1 additional point.
Additionally, each player will play a poly 2 game against each player on the opposing team - winning player in each game gets 1 point.
The higher-scoring player on each of the 2 higher-scoring teams will advance to the final.
Ties between teams will be broken by: total points earned in team games, total score of highest-scoring players, points earned by highest-scoring players in team games, team game with tourney settings.
Ties between players will be broken by: points earned in poly games, poly game with tourney settings.
FINAL ROUND: 1v1/poly 2/poly 3/poly 4
2 players meet in the final and play 2 1v1 games, a poly 2 game, a poly 3 game, and a poly 4 game.
The player who wins 3 or more of the 5 games wins the tourney.
For TPA ranking purposes, players will be ranked by the round in which they where eliminated, by their total score, by their total score in each round (most recent first), and by their points earned in poly games in each round (most recent first).
No further tiebreakers will be used.
