as explained it is taken into account in the table of standing (4 wins and 2 losses as we ignore the game with Joehsnipe-Gertbomber) and I'll update the table related to invitation 3 and invitation 4 as soon the last games will be over.

Roger that.
I understand we had a victory removed. No worries.

Maybe it would be good to play at least one more game to complete all 11 rounds from the first round.

This tournament requires two games a month, which makes it very freemium friendly. Isn't it a shame to spoil everyones fun by quitting?

one team already dropped out, silver doesn't plan to stick around much longer

why the cries now, no one cried before

I didn't see anyone crying.

While the quantitative increase from one team dropping out to two teams dropping out already seems to me like a potentially sufficient reason for crossing people's annoyance threshold, there are also two qualitative differences: a) As opposed to the first team that dropped out, you actually won some games, so some people are going to lose wins and others are going to lose losses, which feels a lot more like the tournament getting messed up than when a team drops out that was losing against everyone anyway. b) You only have one more game to complete a full round of the tournament, and then all your games could count and you could leave in peace. Despite the rather blunt announcement of your forfeiture, josko.ri pointed this out to you in a very friendly manner. I'd ask you to reconsider his suggestion of playing out that one more game instead of dismissing it as a "cry".

your logic is flawed:
it would be more fair to delete our record then to proceed with us in one more round and then have no ''away'' games played, how is that fair to the ones that have lost to us?

there won't be missing any losses or wins, just one team whos record would be deleted and that's fair, not the other way around

Thanks for making that possible. By the way, counting the first half if it's completed isn't an idea that josko.ri and I came up with (full disclosure: we both would lose a point otherwise); it's what ballenus announced as the tournament rules (in the front post) after the first team dropped out.

thanks benga and silversun to make this last game, I think it is indeed better and then we'll go on (and hopefully finish) with 10 teams. I can be flexible as regards the starting date, we can even start this game earlier if you wish so and it doesn't pose any problem to opponent, just tell me.

I think good idea now would be rerandomize second part of the League, so with 10 teams we can have 9 more rounds instead of previously draw with 11 more rounds.

yes of course I'll do this to speed up things and avoid that two teams get only one game. That will require some extra work but I was already in it!

tie breaker rules I found in original post...

"if there is a tie, the team of loutil and chrispond are declared winners of the tournament. if loutil and chrispond tie with another team for the championship, the team that ties with team loutil and chrispond are declared to have taken last in the tournament and are then required to buy the first round at the bar of loutil and chrispond's choice."

seems pretty clear to me.

i just realized our new games are against the same players...actually came here to figure out why.

as regards tie breaker I made an add on not exactly as suggested by Chris + you got twice the same team as I had to start a new random turn of games with 10 players. By coincidence you have the same opponents for your last round of the "12 games championship" and for the first round of the "10 games championship".

I got this message from regan the great "hi, due too unforseen reasons myself and nicky15 will be unable to continue any further in this tournament. my apologies R.T.G.". This means we will have 9 teams from now on... This means that their return games will be cancelled.

Incidentally, this serves well to even out the effects of the cancellations. Only three teams, ChrisPond/loutil, Foxglove/josko.ri and us, were going to get a point against this team, and the latter two teams didn't get a point cancelled because of joehsnipe & gertbomber dropping out. After this, the five top teams in the current table will each have had one point cancelled, so the cancellations are unlikely to influence the outcome of the tournament :-)

I see quitting as really impolite. It shows disrespect towards the organizers and all the fine players gathered at this very cool tournament.

We have three games cancelled and one point less for ChrisPond-Loutil/ Foxglove-Josko.ri and Joriki-Ika Pakao.

Game 14340335
Ballenus,
Please notify joriki of tournament rules of honoring the 12 hour mark. He/she took their turn at the 23 hour mark before our team could get our snapshot in.
Thanks,
