Allow players a period of time to renew their premium before automatically being dropped from auto tournaments at the start of the next round.
Specifics/Details:
I'd suggest that when the next round initiates, if a player is not premium (or does not have room for the games), send a PM notifying them they have 48 hours to upgrade to premium, or they will be removed from the tourney.
After 48 hours, tournament would proceed as scheduled, with or without the player.
If no one has lost their premium at time of next round starting.. then no need to wait 48 hours, the new round could start immediately.
NOTE: Period of time is open for debate - but 48 hours seems like a fair compromise to allow some time without significantly delaying the tournament, and would be consistent with the way these situations are handled in player-run tournaments
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
People don't watch their premium constantly, and it's a bummer to get dropped from a tournament mid-stream when they intend to renew anyway.
When people get dropped from a tournament, other participants either get free wins or a free pass to the next round. This is especially undesirable in tournaments with accumulated wins. Giving an opportunity to prevent this from happening keeps the tournament more fair for everyone involved.

48 hours would be the fairest here since that's the length of time given in tournies that are ran by people. It gives them more time to actually get payment sorted if they wish to continue in the tourney. When you think about it, it makes no real difference to the players whether it be 1 day or 2. Anytime I've played in autotournies, I am waiting a while for the next round to start anyway, like the one I am in now.

That's a good point Shannon - i'll update my original post to suggest 48 hours. Being consistent with player-run tournaments seems fair.
