comparing baskin robbins menu to cc settings is a bit tricky.
since ice cream is frozen, it keeps for long periods of time which means baskin robbins loses not so much if a flavor of ice cream is unpopular. on the other hand, when cc spreads out it's already thinning population into a gazzilion settings combinations. then a certain players preferred map/settings combo gets harder to fill. meaning he waits longer to play the game that he want's to. which means he probably won't hang around very long. which means less players, which means less games made,. which means less chance of existing players finding their own preferred game combos, which means less activity on the site, which means less...... blah blah blah. this is not a hard concept to understand i don't think. not sure why the argument is made that more is better. it's plain to see that more settings + more maps = less players. the graph shows that. none the less, i will sit here and moniter the sitituation as time goes on. i'll probably make more graphs and compare data to support my theories about it all. all the while watching these pointless updates not attract serious new players to the site, and not to mention run off loyal old members.
