I've learnt during History class that the Dutch have sent plenty of Lieutenants to turn countries colonial. I hereby stand by the OP. They missed the odd turn and didn't talk during their game. And we can be damn sure they moved first and thought afterwards. In Holland we call this the Golden Age (the age in which Holland killed thousands of people and got very rich because of it). I can recommend it to anyone.

Step-by-step

In multiplayer escalating games, fail to kill a player with overwhelming number of troops in 4/5 chances. (The chance at a decent sweep in a six-player game is at best 1/3).
Let your single player wins go from positive to negative solely based on luck.
Get noobed.

The key here is changing nothing but your ability to roll a number higher than your opponents.
