[1v1] ACE vs FISO (27-14 Final) ACE Wins!

Post by jj3044 »

IcePack wrote:ACE won the 3rd Annual 1v1 Clan Challenge! After a short break, as CL6 and RL5 wraps up - it has returned!

The intent here is to have fun and show depth and breadth of clans so its intended to not have "specialist" dominating the challenges per se with a fun quick bracket tournament.

SIGN UP DEADLINE APRIL 8th!
A minimum of 8 clans must be signed up, I will take as many as sign up (depending on the number there may be a play in round).
All games will be 1v1. Each clan will have 20 home game series with a 41st game series played on Classic (auto seq no spoil, chained, sunny, no trench). Each game series will be a best of 5 series with identical maps and settings in all 5 games.
Clan Rep's will create the games and invite players.

For purposes of this event there will be no freestyle or manual. Trench must have 30 round timers. NO POLY GAMES. Strictly traditional 1v1!
Unlimited forts will be allowed on certain (primarily single start) maps only (Feudal War, Feudal Epic, AOR1, AOR2, AOR3, Galapagos, Jamaica, New World, Lunar War, Poker Club, Monsters, Arms Race, City Mogul, Peloponnesian War, Das Schloss, Route 66, Treasures of Galapagos, WWII Poland, Clandemonium, King's Court, Baseball, Woodboro, All Your Base, Antarctica, Trench warfare) (please let me know if I've missed any)
Beta maps will not be allowed. Beta Maps: Czecho Slovak Fragmentation, District of Alaka, France 2.1, Krazy Kingdoms, Pirates and Merchants, Promontory Summit, Rail SOuth America, Slovakia, Spanish Armada, Temple of Jinn, WWI Galipoli
FOG OF WAR RULE is to be determined between the clans playing (default is NO FOW RULE).

The purpose here is to show the depth of a clan rather than merely that there are 1 or 2 stud 1v1 players in it. With this in mind, each clan must provide at least 12 different participants with each participant taking a maximum of 4 series out of the 40. 41st Game series will NOT count towards a players game series total.

Each clan may use the same map only twice in its home set and may not use Classic more than once (since it will also be used for the 41st game). If a map is repeated within the rules the players must be different in each series. Random can be used and does not count toward map totals.

If you use Map X twice at home, you must have two DIFFERENT players. If that same map comes up in an away game, ANY player can partake. This rule is covering home game creation only (game count max 4 still applies)

1v1 games are relatively quick in nature and we use a 3 week exchange schedule. The schedule will go Week 1 Monday will have Clan 1 (higher seeded clan) create and send all games to Clan 2. Clan 1 must be in their home games by Tuesday. Clan 2 must be in their away games by Thursday. Week 2 will be the Classic neutral game only, Clan 1 creating and joining by Tuesday and Clan 2 joining by Thursday Week 3 will see Clan 2 creating all their home games and sending them to Clan 1 on Monday with all joined by Tuesday and Clan 1 joining all games by Thursday. If both clans agree the tie break can be moved to week 1 or 3.

Prior to the start, one representative of each of the clans will send in a seeding chart of all other clans (including their own). If the organizer finds any of the seeding lists unreasonable he will send such list to 3 other clan reps and if 2 out of 3 find it unreasonable that seeding list will be discarded. Depending on the numbers there may be first round byes.

Sign Ups March. 27-April 8th
PM to leaders for Seeding Votes: April 8th-April 11th
Bracket Created: April 12th
Clan Planning Time / Prediction Entries Accepted: April 12th-April 27th
Starting: April 27th
First Games Sent: April 27th

Final Date of Completion Depends on # of Clans Participating. Previous editions took 4-8 months with a Christmas Break.

Once a war completes and the next matches two clans are both decided, there should be one week to negotiate, post and get priv's, and two weeks for both sides to plan and then the first Monday after follow the three week schedule.

Example:
Clan A war decided 01/01/13
Clan B war decided 01/10/13

1 Week is given from 01/10/13 to negotiate terms
2 Weeks is given from 01/17/13 to research and war plan for both sides
1/21/13 is the first monday after 2 weeks date is completed, so that should be the first exchange date for the new war.

Each clan shall set up a page in the clan forums detailing the clan war and when one or the other wins their 21st set (must be over, not merely not in doubt) send me a PM with the results.

Clans may negotiate settings outside the "general" settings for their specific wars. VARIANTS TO THE RULES MUST BE SENT AND APPROVED BY THE ORGANZER (IcePack). Most things are flexible, however no poly can be negotiated into wars. Traditional 1v1 only.
No "fog of war" rule breaches will be remade. Site rules for timing out, missing turns etc apply.
Penalties:
Penalties for creating games w/ wrong settings, late create, late join, or other issues that arise:
1st - Warning & Games Remade (if needed)
2nd - Games Remade (if needed) and 1/5 scored for the opposition of offending team
3rd - Forfeiture of the 5 Game Series
4th - New Clan Contact MoW

Players exceeding maximums:
One 5 Game Series that the offending player(s) took part in will be scored for the opposition.

I think a good rule to go by is one "series" per freemium, per round. But they need to play enough keeps / keep slots open enough that it doesn't hold up the round.

If it begins to be a problem for any clan / individual the clan / individual maybe asked to limit that players involvement or open more slots etc.

The winning clan of the event will receive medals
All other issues not listed here will be decided at my discretion, and if a conflict of interest occurs a CD will be consulted.

As this event is fully 1 vs 1, it does not count towards the F400 standings.
