Having undergone initial spy training (in Chapter I), become a key man in the preparation for the revolution (Chapter II) and made a major contribution to the Revolution (Chapter III) you have trained other operatives as the Soviet Republic has become established.
The success of the People's Revolution has brought great hope to comrades in China, and under the leadership of Mao Zedong, a revolution of the peasants and workers against the ruling warlords is gathering pace.
You are briefed on a series of missions to support the CPC (Communist Party of China) who have been expelled from political life by the Wuhan government of China. You will work with the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army of China, known simply as the "Red Army", to establish the people's will and undermime the nationalists with their support from the US.

Whilst returning from the local newspaper vendor, a vagrant bumps into you in the street.
This seems insignificant until you arrive home and find a memo in your jacket pocket:
"Despite their heroism in the Northern Expedition and various other missions to overthrow the warlords of China, our communist comrades have been expelled by the Wuhan government.
We have intelligence that both the US and Germany are currently providing political support to the nationalist Wuhan governement. Indirectly, their support has contributed to the massacring of tens of thousands of our comrades in China.
Nationalist-supporting targets in the US and Germany have been identified
Further details of your targets' whereabouts will follow.
Bring them down and aid the 'Red Army' comrade Mao in bringing equality and humanity to our neighbours.
Agents succesful in either of these intial missions will be conscripted for the second stage of our plan.
This memo must be destroyed without delay."
Unexpectedly, you find a note in your suit pocket:
"Comrade, we have identified further political supporters of the Chinese nationalist government.
Our intelligence has identified further targets whose support has contributed to the massacring of comrades in China, in both the the US and the British Colony of Hong Kong.
Further details of your targets' whereabouts will follow.
Bring them down and aid the 'Red Army' comrade Mao in bringing equality and humanity to our neighbours.
Agents succesful in either of these missions will be conscripted for the second stage of our plan.
This memo must be destroyed without delay."

When you awake in your hotel room, you find a note has been slipped under the door:
"Comrade, our infiltration of the Chinese nationalist Kuomintang government, has identified a number of political targets within the British government of India who are antagonising against British-Indian support of the Dalai Lama's resistance against the Kuomintang in the Sino-Tibetan War.
Similarly, the Kuomintang are battling in East Turkestan, with complex political influences involved. The right-wing Japanese are negotiating with our old enemy, the Ottoman Empire, to install an Ottoman prince, Abdulkerim, in setting up a puppet state in Xinjiang. Ottoman targets have been identified.

Upon returning to your hotel from the local bar, you mysteriously find a note in your back pocket:
"Comrade, as part of our intelligence, targets have been identified in Indo-China where the KMT (Kuomintang) are establishing mutual support with the emerging Vietnamese Nationalist Party.
Further details of your targets' whereabouts will follow.
Bring them down and aid the 'Red Army' comrade Mao in defeating the nationalist KMT to bring equality and humanity to our neighbours.
Agents succesful in either this mission will be conscripted for the final stage of our plan.
This memo must be destroyed without delay."

As you wait for your bus home, a beggar passes by and presses a note into your hand:
"Comrade, the communist revolution of China grows ever nearer.
Our intelligence has identified German support for the KMT as well as further targets regarding their sources of US aid and weapons.
Similarly, we are ready to eradicate important KMT leaders throughout China and their key international support in the Forbidden City.
Further details of your targets' whereabouts will follow."[/spoiler]
This tournament is the fourth Russian Spy tournament, and the twelfth in a series of Special Agent assassin tournaments.
The tournament follows an ‘evolving storyline’ format. It is open to all players with a decent attendance record.
