The Arena Football League plays during Spring and Summer when the NFL is in its off season. There are several differences between these two leagues, the largest of which, besides the level of talent, is that Arena Football play with a 50 yard field opposed to the traditional 100.

This tournament will be a sports league type event. The season may go on for a while so only committed players should sign up. Nonetheless this tournament is open to everybody. Each player gets to choose their own map for home, and may set their own rules following the tournament guidelines. In the spirit of Arena Football’s short 50 yard field, only small maps with 30 territories or less may be selected. Every individual map can only belong to one player. Here is a list of the available maps.

Teams:
Every player must choose an Arena Football Team they will represent. This is important, as the teams that are chosen, will determine each player’s conference, divison, and schedule. At this time there are only 12 team in the Arena Football League, so there are not a lot of available spots. Here is the list of the teams:

Playoffs:
Each division champion will make the playoffs. Both leagues will also have 2 Wildcards so the majority of the teams will make the playoffs. The 2 division winners from each league will get first round byes. The two Wildcards from both leagues will play each other in a single elimination game, where the team with the best record of the two getting home field advantage, with the winner advancing to the second round. Of the division winners the team with the conference’s best record also receives a second round bye. In the second round the winners of the Wildcard game go on to play @ the division winners with the worse records. The winners of those game go to the Conference Finals with the winners of those games going to the Arena Bowl.

Arena Pro Bowl:
Will take place during Week 15. A 2v2 matchup following with the current division leaders. The winning conference receives home field advantage for the Arena Bowl. The map for this game will be determined by bid process. Before the end of Week 10, send me your bid. Tell me why your home map, and your set of rules should be selected for the Arena Pro Bowl. The player with the winning bid will receive their division’s spot in the game.
