Major Tournaments must require the winning player or team to have a minimum of 50 games in a league type tournament or 50 planned player eliminations in an individual elimination type tournament i.e. 50 individual games; 25 doubles games etc.
Premier tournaments have between 32 and 49 planned games/player eliminations.
Standard tournaments have between 16 and 31 planned games/player eliminations.
Should any tournament not meet the planned number of players joining it, we will either reclassify it or allow it to run as was originally planned. The CC player minimum number restrictions must always be met of course.

Major tournaments will have 2,000 points for 1st place; Premier, 1,000 points and Standard, 500 points.
For all other places, the number of points earned (P) will be determined by the following formula which includes the number of players/teams (n) and the player's position (x). Points will be rounded down.
For Major tournaments
If n>128: P = 2000n/128x
If n<128 or n=128: 2000/x
For Premier tournaments
If n>64: P = 1000n/64x
If n<64 or n=64: 1000/x
For Standard tournaments
If n>32: P = 500n/32x
If n<32 or n=32: 500/x
If players are tied then they will each receive the average of the total number of points they would have received had they not tied.
On completion of their tournament, organizers should just provide the finishing order and the above points will be calculated as part of the master scoreboard updating.

To be sanctioned as a TPA event, tournaments must:
- Follow all CC tournament requirements;
- Have no point restrictions (although they may require premium membership);
- Have an organizer who has successfully run previous CC tournaments, is committed to running this one through and has not been replaced as a TO for any tournament during the preceding 12 months;
- Allow for at least 16 single players, 8 doubles teams, etc.
- TO agrees not to send to any sort of "list" for the first 48 hours of sign ups to allow all players fair entry;
- TO's agree that for all sanctioned events that players will be accepted in the order in which they sign up regardless of all banned lists that a particular TO may have.
- TO's agree not to publish their tournament before before the date specified, which will always be a Monday.
To join any tournament, all players must sign up in the usual manner.

The tournament organizer and one winner (or individual players of the winning team) of any previous tournament of the same title may be included in the player joiner list. All other spots must be open for sign ups.
Reserve policies are at the discretion of the tournament organizer. Reserves will receive all final points due. Players who do not continue in a tournament will not receive any points.
