For some reason the original TO deleted the Challonge bracket, so I'm not entirely sure where it was at. So, I'll just do a manual bracket, based on Game Finder.
Players who won Round 2 games:

Of the above, DJ1985 advanced to round 2 despite the fact that he lost his Round 1 game against rmjw10. (Game 16001642) There is no record of why. Perhaps he failed to accept his Round 2 invite and the original TO advanced his opponent, but there is no record of this in the thread. Perhaps it was just a plain old-fashioned mistake. With so little evidence, it's hard to say. This is one of several issues I shall have to untangle.
There are two players who won Round 1 games and for some reason are not in any Round 2 games.

There are also a bunch who signed up for the tournament and never played any games:

Of these, Chipsahoyy has left the site. The others are still active.
So, in summary. There are six players who won Round 2 games. One of these may or may not have been ineligible for Round 2. There are three players who won Round 1 games but for whatever reason did not play Round 2 games. There are four active players who signed up for the tournament and did not play any games.
So:
- I will send Round 1 games to the four players that don't have any.
- I will have Round 2 games between the two winners of step 1.
- I will investigate the rmjw10/DJ1985 matter, and I may or may not have some kind of rematch there depending on what I find out.
- I will start a Round 2 game between Commander17 and jacktoo without waiting for the results of the above.
- Then, when all that is done, I'll randomize the 8 surviving players into four Round 3 games.
Update Dec. 17th:
At last all the problems have been sorted out, and we can move to round 3.
