Fallen, S&M, LHDD, OSA, and FOED are all teams they would struggle against IMO. AFOS will know where they are against us, no opinion needed. But if we don't bring our best game against the list above, we struggle.

Maybe whoever that 4th team is will struggle.

It seems like four is a large number to promote/relegate. Maybe 2-3 should be the number in the future?

I agree. Any 4th team will be too weak for premier division.

I think your reasoning is wrong.
You can't say a clan from the 2nd league can't go 1st league because he would be unable to beat the top clans of the 1st league. You should rather compare AFOS with clans ranked in the 2nd half of the 1st league. There I think they could compete.
TOP/ATN/PACK are in 2nd league this year but they are really 1st league level. The only reason they played the 2nd league is because they didn't participate last year.
I think, there is clans that could remain for a long time in the 1st league, clan that could promote/relegate every year, and some clans that will probably stay in 2nd league.

Promotion and relegation systems should be made to arbitrate which teams have a decent chance at surviving in the league. Having played MMM, AFOS and ID right before CL7 started and having played RET during CL7(alongside), I think any 4th place contender might be of comparable quality with the bottom teams in premier division. But that leaves a HUGE probability of relegating immediately.

Seriously, relegating 33% of the league every season is too many. It comepletely takes the fun out of the competition for bottom league teams if they realize there are so many relegation spots it will be nigh impossible for them to avoid. If you can't gain any fun out of competition, it's better to play individual clanwars. A 2-3 team promotion/relegation system like rockfist mentioned, seems a lot more reasonable.

It is what it is for this year. But I see no harm in debating what it should be for future years.

I agree. I'm not saying to change anything this year, because you should always stick with the rules set at the start of the season, but yeah I deem this a necessary change for CL8 next year.

I'm sure that Lindax will start a thread in the CD&F after CL7 finishes. So if you desire changes then please let your clans rep know, as that is where the decisions will be made.

I'm not sure I've read the whole thing, but out of 12 teams, I'd go for the following system:

-top 2 teams of second division promoted
-bottom 2 teams of first divisio relegated
-10th place of first division and 3rd of second division go for a playoff round in home and away to determine who goes/remains in first division.

A promotion/relegation play-off would certainly add some extra spice to the event.

I think Keefie is right, get those ideas to your clan CDF rep & they can be ready to discuss when we are ready.

We can't be so reactionary that we drastically change things based on what happened "this year", but to have the format that works & doesn't need tweaking and works year in and year out. That's what Lindax plans for and the goal is during the CDF discussions that will happen later,

I agree with a lot of what is said above. As usual, there are pros and cons for every format.

This was the first time promotion/relegation was introduced, so I'm looking forward to our CDF discussion to see how we can improve it for CL8.

Greetings Everyone,

I am not posting in this message as First Contact for TOP... as I have been removed from this position by Lindax. I am also not posting this message as a member of TOP. I am posting as an individual player on CC, as is my right.

I have not posted in this thread for quite some time now. I have noticed some very ugly posts in the main thread, but I will not be responding to them!

I apologize to everyone in this thread and the Premier thread for the "lock down" which was experienced by both. It was my post in which I disagreed with and criticized the TOs and Clan Director for what I felt was gross abuse of power. They did not like being criticized, although I stated only facts in an objective manner, and therefore removed my post and locked the threads. I have much to say regarding the "Abuse of Power" administered here in the CL7, but will refrain from discussing it in this thread, because revealing factual details which confirm this abuse will likely only result in my clan receiving further "Warnings" and further deletion of my posts.

I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this tournament and wish everyone well.

God Bless You!

Paul

I will not cause argument, but I do believe no clan has the full facts here. The only people that do are the CDs and I trust them to be fair in all their rulings.

Let's finish this league with dignity and play of the highest calibre.

Interesting to see the ATN/TOP match up in final round.
In premier league two of the top contenders are facing off in the final round as well.
Makes things super interesting and exciting until the end. Lot of eyes on those games! (No pressure)

I don't think they'll have it as easy as some of their clan think, but I reckon they'll do very well indeed. They have an awesome line up of players.

Yeah, points.

TOP 36
ATN 33
PACK 30

It shows for me, but if you're on a phone I know I get that issue and I just save it to my camera roll and then view it there.
