There are actually several ties on the list. There are three "29s" (Ethiopia, Greater China, and Nubia), two "27s" (Slovakia and Eurasia Mini) and four "24s" (Madrid, USA West, Madagascar, and Duck & Cover.) The rankings of these are essentially arbitrary.
18 players needed. Seven games at a time, so premium players only, obviously. There will be five phases with seven games in each phase. Player groups are re-randomized between phases. Scores are not cumulative, except for tiebreaking purposes.
Phase 1: 18 players in 3 groups, therefore 6 players per group.
6p Terminator games on site-default settings (automatic sequential escalating chained no fog no trench)
The 7 largest maps on the list (from Ethiopia to Egypt: Upper)
Phase 2: 15 players in 3 groups, therefore 5 players per group.
5p Standard games. Default settings except: flat rate, trench, 30-round limit.
The maps from 3rd to 9th on the list (from Egypt: Nubia to USA West)
Phase 3: 12 players in 2 groups, therefore 6 players per group.
6p Assassin games. Default settings except: parachute forts, 50-round limit
The maps from 5th to 11th on the list (from Slovakia to Duck and Cover)
Phase 4: 8 players in 4 groups, therefore 2 players per group.
Poly Dubs. Default settings except no spoils and fog.
The maps from 6th to 12th on the list (from Eurasia Mini to Egypt: Lower)
Phase 5: 5 players in one group.
5p Standard games. Default settings.
The seven smallest maps (from Madrid to Doodle Earth)
Advancement from round to round is by number of wins in that round.

- number of kills in current round
- total number of wins in tournament
- total number of kills in tournament
- Single fastest win in tournament
- Precedence (order of signing up.)
