Did You Know? Nearly every article of the Platoon Report contains a way to win credits? (Sometimes even more then one!) Some are more obvious then others...some are less noticable, and you really have to pay attention to find them. Design Contests, Events, Games, and hidden gem's are placed throughout the Reports. Some of them (usually the small hidden ones) expire at the end of the month, so be sure to read the current Platoon Reports for your chance at easy prizes!

Claniversity This month we are really pushing Claniversity, after our initial class was set up and students have begun learning, we are making some minor changes for the next Class, which have sign ups underway! As we get more students and more activity, there is a need and desire to provide better learning environments for our future Clan members of tomorrow! We NEED your help, if you see players who request to be in your clan and do not qualify, perhaps instead of ignoring their post or message, or if you already PM them and tell them "no thanks", would you please consider pointing some of those players who need more team experience in our direction? Only when we all work together, will the Clan area be the best it could possibly be! With your help, we would love to have some new lesson plans created either through Screenshots, or ideally - some new "Claniversity Lesson Plans"! If you are interested in creating some of these, we have credits to send your way as a thank you! These new scenario lesson plans would be able to be practised and played by all students for many classes to come. It allows us to create custom scenarios that mimic real clan life decisions that help form players who excel at team games and give experience to newer players who are interested in clan life.

Welcome to the Clan Tournaments Area, where you will find updates on all the Sanctioned Tournaments within Conquer Club's Clan and Tribe Areas! Lindax is our Clan Tournament Director who brings you this update from June 1st.
This year’s Conqueror’s Cup includes some changes to the format, mainly to try and keep the duration of the event within one year. All round 2 wars are decided and 4 wars have finished. Two round 3 wars have started, the other two are about to start.
CCup6 Prediction Contest 2,400 Credit Prize! At the start of CC6 we had 35 participants try to predict what would happen during the course of the event. After 12 wars completed, we have six participants who still have the potential for a perfect bracket! dakky21, JPlo64, uckuki, chard, grt, and one unknown LHDD fan have a perfect 12/12 record so far. Congrats to everyone so far, of those top six - 5 different winners were selected! Things should start getting interesting shortly!
This edition of the Clan League also has some changes to the format. The most important one is the implementation of promotion/relegation between the two divisions. We have a Premier Division with 12 clans and a Second Division with 14 clans.
The Premier Division is down to 3 active games in the last round. The battle for first place is narrowed down to FALL and LHDD. It seems that everything hinges on the New Zealand game in the match TOFU 4 vs LHDD 2. The only other ongoing match is MMM 4 vs ACE 3, however, the outcome will not change anything in the standings. The 4 lowest ranked clans will go to the Second Division for CL8.
The Second Division is also in the final round, with TOP being the apparent winner. The standings are decided, there 6 games still ongoing, but they will not affect the standings anymore. The 4 highest ranked clans will go to the Premier Division for CL8.
Below you’ll see the latest results and standings. Keep in mind that for the Premier Division there are still 2 matches undecided.
[spoiler=CL7 Results and Standings]Premier Division -
Random League started in September 2015 and is organized by [player]uckuki[/player]. The Tournament includes 17 Clans competing in 12 game mini-matches of random maps. Clans select home teams and settings.
The tournament is in the last round, with some round 16 games still ongoing. Looks like it's between FOED and S&M and it all depends on the outcome of the match S&M vs LHDD!
The Poly Clan Challenge started in April 2016 and is run by [player]uckuki[/player]. It's an elimination bracket tournament, with 12 clans participating. Every round consists of 41 sets of 3 Poly games.
Because of 4 byes there are only 4 wars ongoing in round 1 (results so far taken from war threads):
TOFU 11 vs FISO 9 HH 9 vs FALL 15 S&M 11 vs OSA 4 FOED 0 vs ACE 0
The Mini Cup I is the first tournament of a continuous series of elimination bracket tournaments, organized by [player]benga[/player]. The 8 participating clans play full 41 game clan wars each round. The sign-up thread for MC II you'll find here: Mini Cup II [1/8] Sign-up thread
MC I started in April 2016. Here are the ongoing wars (with results so far taken from the war threads):
This tournament consists of a combination of 1v1 and Poly auto tournaments and team games. The group phase is completed. Round 2, the first round of the elimination phase is ongoing. Of the 4 battles 3 have been decided, LHDD, FOED and TOFU are through to round 3.

Each issue the Clan Department plans to highlight a clan (based on current events, clan wars, or public demand) and a player by interviewing clan leaders and players! We will announce who is to be interviewed here, and you can post all your questions in this thread to be answered in the next issue! We will provide some information on the highlighted clans such as recent or historical achievements, as well as linking readers to their Clan Page so past history, recruitment, and member details will be easily accessible. You'll get the opportunity to ask the Clan's members or leadership any questions, and get to know the group as a whole on a deeper level while the Clans that are highlighted will enjoy some additional exposure and get a chance to introduce themselves to the Clan World in a new, unique way that is difficult to replicate in a recruitment thread.
Clan Highlight [spoiler=TNC Interrogation]Epi = Red BK = Blue BG = Green
TNC was founded back in 2010, how many original members are still around?
DunnoI think tokle and I might be the only originals left. Winston and pershy were pretty quick to join, but mcshanester is no longer with us and neither are a bunch more.
Was it TheCrown that founded TNC, or someone else? How did it change within the clan after Crown left?
I think so, along with tokle and maybe someone else. I'll let you guys answer the second part of the question. No, Crown came later, he was a later join than pershy for example. As soon as he joined he wanted to become leader and really set his mark on the clan. But it was the great Saxlad that founded TNC (then called T4C), and enlisted tokle and myself to help him. The three of us started it, with Crown becoming the fourth member of the leadership council. The Saxlad was the founder, but I credit TheCrown with making TNC what it was. We had no idea it wasnt normal to run 15+ wars a year. He trained many of us to become better players. When he left, we put Epi in charge of the major clan events and important wars. The rest was left to MoB Deadly. Epi led us to all of our best victories
Does anyone ever hear from TheCrown since he left the site? Some people used to be friends with him on Facebook, but not anymore. Nope. Ive got his email. I have no hard feelings towards him, but after the C&A fiasco, he just sort of disappeared
What does the new leadership do differently then perhaps it would have been handled previously? Not as involved with wars. Combination of losing Crown and MoB pretty much killed a lot of the war fervor. We're sort of just hanging out right now. Everyone seems to busy to focus on wars
If you could pick only one aspect of TNC to be labeled as the most important, such as forum activity, mafia games, quantity of wars, what would you emphasize as the most important and defines you as a clan? Mafia or wars. In the past, it wouldve been mafia. We completed over 50 games in a 3 year period I think. The meta was insane. But, I think that ties into forum activity.
Do you play any other internal forum games or tournaments other than mafia?
BK can explain a bunch of the forum games we've done.We have played lots! From simple quick games such as 'Where in the world am I?' and 'Mindless Deathmatch' to more complex role playing games like Roll to Dodge. We've also done collaborative storytelling, and loads of internal banter and joke threads. In terms of internal tournaments we hold a regular Kings tournament to establish who is the most badass member of the clan. The king often organizes internal tournaments as well, depending on what kind of reign they want to have.979 Forum posts, our most commented one has 9165 replies.
Everyone knows TNC both has many wars, and sometimes HUGE wars. What was the idea behind being so active?
We love that shit. Or we used to. I think part of us believed in quantity over quality. TheCrown was a sadist
You have the most wars and most games played out of any clan (currently sitting at 5,054 games and counting)! Is there any victory that is more memorable for you?
Breaking up the Pack. I know they're around, but they've never been the same since. The Wild Geese... it was our first victory. That will always be something special
Which clan was the most enjoyable to fight against? HH because we beat them so many times. I enjoy HH as well. I feel like we're very similar. Keefie is great to work with.
Is there any clan that TNC wishes they got to fight against, or would like to fight against now? HH ATN. I know that we are better than they are. We had Josh trying to run one his first wars and we lost. I really wanted to beat them bc IamCaffeine and I have bantered back and forth about misc things on CC over the years.
If you were to try comparing your clan to another, which clan do you think would be the closest to your own? Most different?
Similar: Gladiators play some mafia and are nice guys. Different: hard to say. The original Fallen I felt were pretty similar to us. Also HH. Different? The rest
What about the most memorable or regrettable defeat?
TOP because they are obnoxious. The Immortal Assassins also managed to humiliate us very badly on a couple of occasions. The IA Asswooping was brtual...
(From Keefie) It's been a while since HH and TNC last met, fancy war # 362 ? Yes. Any time, any place
Why have TNC never broken into the top echelon of clans ? We're dorky, but we're not that dorky. In our active days, we were negatively impacted by our hunger for war. Instead of cherrypicking who we beat and only doing 2 wars a year like some "top echelon" clans, we just went crazy. Combine that with the fact that 85% of our clan doesnt care if we win or lose... Theres a big gap between casually playing and being good versus playing this thing hardcore. You guys at the top? Youre all insane lol
What events do TNC look forward to the most?
Conquer Cup. Conquer Cup
Which player is the best at Mafia?
BG for town, Ragian for mafia. Rage is the best scumbag for sure. Town, I please the 5th.
Have any TNC players met in real life?
Yes. On many occasions and on multiple continents. We've even come together across continents to hang out for a games weekend on more than one occasion. This is the best part of TNC. Most of us have met multiple times in real life.
What are some of your other hobbies besides CC in "real life"?
Soccer, reading, scouring the Amazon, board games, acting, tea, beer, sexting. We also play other video games (console and PC) Xbox and my kids
What are some of the reasons you enjoy being in TNC?
Mafia, forum, everyone gets along pretty well. We used to be much more active but have gotten busy lately. These are my people.
Tell our readers something surprising that we might not know about TNC? We're all women.
Swifte - how did TNC manage to snag you? He's the only member who is on salary.
What clan would you most like to hear about in the next Dispatch? Gladiators. HH or LHDD[/spoiler]
Player(s) Highlight This month the Clan Department is pleased to bring you a special interview taken with one of our very own Clan Directors, [player]MudPuppy[/player]! This is our the fifth of a six part interview series where we introduce ourselves to the Clan World. [player]MudPuppy[/player] is one of the two Clan Directors who helps run the Claniversity for us, alongside [player]CatchersMitt14[/player]! If there's someone else you think would be a fun and interesting interviewee for the Clan World, please post below and let us know! We'd love to hear from you! (Please note, not all questions will get answered depending on personal comfort with sharing personal information, etc) Thanks and have fun!
[Warning this is a large spoiler] [spoiler=Mudpuppys Interview]Q: Hi MP! Thanks for participating and taking the time to do this interview! Care for some water before we start? No thanks... overactive bladder. Q: Let’s start with some general questions about each of you. What do you do for work out in the “real world”? Finance in Healthcare Industry Q: Do any of you have a wife, kids? If you are a parent, what was one of your favorite moments with your kids? Married 20+ years, 2 daughters (almost 16 & 14), and a dog. Many favorite kid moments...Loved walking them to school every day while pretending to be an ogre. Now they're old and spiteful... and I love 'em just as much. I'm a lucky dad!!! Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of CC? Jogging on & off (on now); baking (not enough... but more when kitchen is remodeled); listening to music; watching TV Q: Are there any other games you guys enjoy playing outside of CC? the occasional poker game; monopoly; pinochle (family rules); backgammon; Cranium; Trivia Q: Do you enjoy sports? If so, which ones? And do you have any favorite teams? Only a casual follower these days. Used to be a big Cubs fan. Was once in a fantasy baseball league with Max Scherzer (before his MLB days). I may try to follow the new Atlanta United soccer team starting next year... Took girls to France/Germany Women's World Cup game last summer & had a complete blast!!! Q: Who's going to win the Superbowl this year? Don't care too much.... da Bears??? But now that the 2019 Superbowl (LIII) is coming to the ATL, gotta go put my name in the lottery... though not sure I can actually afford to keep a ticket for myself should I have the fortune to be selected. Q: What do you think your free throw shooting percentage would be if you went out and took 100 shots right now? What about from behind the arc? 30%/8% Q: What is the most obscure sport from which you can name a professional athlete, and who are they? Competitive Eating? Takero Kobayashi, Joey Chestnut, The Black Widow (forget her real name)... all true champions of their sport Q: What are some of your favorite movies, TV shows, books, and magazines (No, it doesn’t have to be that kind)? Favorite Movie: The Three Amigos; Favorite TV Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead; Favorite Books: Don't read a lot... Lord of the Rings; Favorite Magazines: Mad Q: Do you enjoy cartoons? What is your favorite cartoon now? What was it growing up? Most definitely... Simpsons now; Underdog back in the day Q: What is your favorite Disney movie? Since they teamed up with Studio Ghibli, I'm going to consider those Disney movies and go with "Spirited Away" Q: Let’s move onto music; what style(s) of music do you enjoy? What are some of your favorite bands? Songs? Here's my forte.... LOVE many styles... mostly alternative/indie rock but these days I listen almost exclusively to Japanese music despite not speaking the language. Grew up on The Beatles, Bee Gees, then into New Wave, Ska, Reggae, Punk, etc., etc. First concert was The Clash in 1982 and they're probably my all-time favorite band... Kurtis Blow & Gregory Isaacs opened for them and I just saw Mr. Blow, Kool Moe Dee, Sugar Hill Gang, & a modified version of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five a few months ago. Big fan of Elvis Costello, Bob Marley, Psychedelic Furs... just too many to name. For English-speaking bands these days, I like Foals, Savages, & Wolf Alice (all Brits). Favorite Japanese bands are Ling Tosite Sigure, Tricot, Daoko, The Skippers, Gomess, Number Girl. Favorite song is tough... let's go with "BGM"... one of my fav J-Indie tunes from 2015 (and a great video for Dad's Day this month):
Q: What was the last concert you attended? Tricot, October 21st - Japanese indie band on first US tour. Drove 250 miles to see them in small club in Nashville (The End). Figured if they were kind enough to travel 7,000 miles from Kyoto, I can meet them the rest of the way. UPDATE: Have since gone to the Shaky Knees music fest in ATL and saw a ton of great bands: Foals, Savages, Wolf Alice, Florence ATM and a bunch of others. Got high fives (or similar hand contact) from the leads in 3 of those 4 bands listed... and was front row for the other. Saw perhaps 30 bands in three days and almost all were very worthwhile. Great weekend!!! Q: What is your drink of choice (alcoholic, or non-alcoholic)? Coke Zero... drink way too many a day Q: What is your favorite food? What about dessert? So many... perhaps a really good lasagna. Favorite desert is easy: Ice Cream (just about any non-alcoholic flavor... except coffee). Q: Is there something you can do better than anyone else in the clan world? (or CC) I doubt it... but I do make a pretty mean cheesecake. Q: Name something about yourself that nobody in the clan world probably knows about you? I used to work as a bouillon cube maker. Q: If you could live one day over again, which would it be? Too deep for me... I'll stick to living in the now. Q: Did you choose that day because it was awesome, or because you want to redo/undo something? I've watched enough Sci Fi movies to know it's a bad idea to mess with stuff when traveling back in time... I'd simply observe if I choose to re-experience a day in the life. Q: In your life, do you think you’ve more often been dumped, or been the one doing the dumping? I'm the dumpee... but my current and past loves have all been and still are awesome. I've had a fortunate run. Q: Do you have a “list’ with your significant other, and who’s at the top? No list has actually been discussed but we both know who'd vie for the top spot, at least as somewhat of a joke.... Uma Thurman and Bjork (saw her 2nd performance ever in the US with the Sugarcubes @ The World in NYC - Just read a NY Times review of the concert to find the date of the show - July 28, 1988 - and love how the Times kept referring to her as "Ms. Gudmundsdottir"). My real list would be comprised of some other charismatic musicians: Miyoko "345" Nakamura - bassist for Ling Tosite Sigure & Geek Sleep Sheep
Ayse Hassan - Savages bassist
Ellie Rowsell - Wolf Alice singer/guitarist
Hiromi "Hirohiro" Sagane - Tricot bassist
Q: What is the craziest place you’ve made “whoopee”? Nothing too crazy... I'm a bit of a prude :
Q: Give or receive? Both are awesome but gotta give the nod to giving Q: Would your last answer change if you were in jail? No... both are still awesome Q: Have you ever had sex with a cheerleader? In the uniform? A female cheerleader? No, No, & No Q: What were your SAT/ACT scores? 620 Math, 530 English which I was quite pleased with. Did much better on the GREs and GMATs though I forget scores. Q: If you were to go for a doctorate or professional degree, what would you study and why? Well, I dropped out of doctoral studies in Chemistry on St. Patty's Eve in order to celebrate the holiday and go to a Violent Femmes concert instead of taking a test in Quantum Chemistry scheduled for the 17th.... So, I'd probably go back and give Chemistry another whirl. Q: Have you ever won a carnival game? Which one? If yes, did you get a giant teddy bear? If yes, what did you do with it? I've never won anything major... but my ex won a giant teddy bear that she gave to me... Kept it for years at my dad's house and finally tossed it when he moved. Time to see what you think of your fellow mates! Just react naturally, no thinking! (I combined all answers into the most popular winner(s)

Enough about that. Let’s go from you, the man – and talk about you – the player! Q: How did you come up with your usernames, and what do they mean? Inspired by the band, Chickasaw Mudd Puppies Q: If you had to change your name onsite, what would your new name be? CheezyPoof Q: What do you feel has been your single biggest accomplishment within CC to date? Maintaining a 5.0 rating Q: What is one of your best CC moments? I've had some fun wins but my best CC moment came when the longest game I've participated in (Game 4017756; lasting almost 5 years) finally came to an end... even though I lost. Very thankful round limit options have since been implemented!!! Here's the longest game I played & won: Game 3515352 lasting just a smidge over 4 years. Q: Who is your favorite player to play with? Easy question to cop out on as there are a ton of folks I enjoy playing with... but I'll go with one of my newer clanmates and pick [player]grt[/player] as he's been a joy to play with since day 1. Q: If you could remove a map off CC, which would you pick and why? Easy... D-Day: Omaha Beach because the artillery regions attack (vs. bombard) distant targets. None of the History Channel shows I've watched include human cannonballs being shot toward the invading Allies. Q: If you could only keep 5 maps on CC, which would you pick and why? Just need one: Random . My preferences are constantly changing and I'd probably list five different maps if you ask me tomorrow but today I'm going with: Chinese Checkers, France 2.1, Operation Drug War, Sydney Metro, and Waterloo Q: If you could reign supreme over the site, what would you change? My primary wish of Poly games has been granted and they don't disappoint. My current wishes are relatively minor but led by some type of auto-snapshot to start games in order to eliminate the need for any kind of "Fog rule." Q: Let’s talk about Clans. How much time a week do you put into clan work? CC? It varies greatly but not nearly enough to accomplish the things I'd like. Q: Does being a Clan Director Volunteer feel overwhelming at times? Volunteering is fun... it's real life that is overwhelming at times. Q: What is the best part of being a site volunteer? Clan volunteer? The satisfaction you get from feeling you've added to the enjoyment of fellow CC players. It's a nice little virtual family we have here. Q: Do you feel the Clan Area of CC is living up to its potential? The thing about potential is there is always room for more. That said, I think all the major items are in place and it's just a matter of fine tuning the best part of CC. The first item in need of fine tuning is the F400 ranking... clearly whoever is spitting out those calculations has rigged the results. Q: If you could choose one clan to fight, which would you pick and why? Imperial Dragoons... I love my first clan and former clanmates and would take pleasure in battling them any time. Q: As we approach the beginning of the New Year (2016), what are your biggest goals for Clans in 2016? For me it's all about finding time to help make Claniversity a success. Q: Overall, how do you feel the Clan Area went in 2015? Overall, great. The clan database is a great addition to the clan area. I think we have just the right amount of major clan tourneys. There always seems to be some relatively minor disagreements on certain aspects of the Clan Area but we are currently in a very good place. Q: Now, for some closing questions. Well…, I apologize ahead of time. If you were a pokemon, which pokemon would you be? Pikachu... since he's the only one I can think of Q: What teletubby character would you pick for IcePack to be? Why? Laa-Laa since she's pretty outgoing and helpful... and because I've already claimed Tinky Winky for myself. Q: Can blind people see their dreams? Yes Q: If you could challenge another member of the Clan Director Team to a fist fight soley based on your impression of them on the site, who would you pick and why? I'm a lover not a fighter... but I'll kick IcePack's ass in CC any day of the week. Q: Would you rather suck on your mom’s nipple or your dad’s? Passing on the insestual questions. Q: Why do they call it taking a dump? Shouldn't it be leaving a dump? A fairly valid point for such an inane question. Q: Who is your favorite person from the history of SNL? Favorite bit? So many greats but gonna go with the original great: John Belushi. Favorite skit up until the most recent episode was "Dick in a Box." But that last tribute to Robin Williams is my #1 at the moment:
Q: Have you ever taken a pie to the face? If yes, please explain the circumstances. I'm pretty sure I've done so multiple times but the time I best recall was as a contestant at a live Nickelodeon show Q: If you could choose a superpower, which would you choose if you could have one? Some kind of super vision where I can see things perfectly both up close (microscopic) and from miles away Q: If you were in jail, what crime do you suppose it would be for? Unlawful but peaceful protest against injustice. Q: Do you have any final last words, or anything to say to the Clan members at large? Please direct anyone you think may be interested in Claniversity my way. Would love to get some new students.i Q: Thank you for taking the time to answer and participate! de nada[/spoiler]
