Could we maybe agree to cap voting dakky at 5 until Wednesday (that gives us 5 RL days to finish the lynch) he is obviously going to get lynched but that's no reason not to have a bit of Day 1 talk. Dark can be Town? Light is scum? I can not recall any fantasy novel or mafia game where that has been true. He has stated he is Dark alighned.
He has no choice but to claim.

There are groups in these books that could easily be translated into cult, like the children of the light. And their allignment is not always straight forward.
But the forsaken, the ones who follow the dark one, I think they will be the ones who are scum in this game.

Ziggactly! Check out the description of The Dark One. It starsts with:

"The Dark One is a primordial, sentient, cosmic force of evil in the universe. The Dark One's goal is to break the spirits and hearts of whatever sentient beings he can influence, and, if freed from his prison, eventually to remake Creation in his own image."

Now, I admit that doesn't say Mafia. Maybe the followers of the Dark One are actually a majority in this game which would make them Town. I propose that everyone who is on the side of Dark follow dakky's glowing example and claim their allegiance.

Greg should be in charge of calculating what percantage of the players claimed Dark. (OMGUS math )

I think dakky genuinely has no clue what he is doing in this game. A little sad given how much he plays (sorry dakky).

HOWEVER.. I don't think he is scum. He is probably cult or some other 3rd party with a separate but similarly dangerous objective.
Why do I think this? Because his post doesn't help him if he's town, doesn't help him if he's scum, doesn't help him if he's any other faction. Therefore the only thing that makes sense to me is that he pretty much told the whole truth and suicided. Plus he could have recruiting abilities...

Tim.. you're overly defensive... I don't like it. We all know dakky's tendency to vote for you especially in the beginning. If he does it's up to the rest of us to decide if he's right or wrong, so what you're doing is completely unnecessary. Yeah, slightly disappointed by how easy that was. Aage almost threw it away by giving the faction names which I was explicitly avoiding. Almost like he was throwing breadcrumbs to Dakky...

(At this point I think too many people have been trying to help Dakky, Aage and Mets most blatantly, but its still too many to all be scum)

It is always Light vs Dark but that doesn't mean it is town vs. scum. Town and scum could be separated from Light & Dark. So I guess there could be Dark townies and Light scummates.

From what ive read, it says that The Dark One can tempt people with offers of immortality, making them a 'darkfriend'. Perhaps the dark one is a cult leader.
