Re: Indigo League Mafia/RPG Day 2
Interesting stuff strike. All I will say is that I never put Ragian on wild pokemon at any point during this game. I'm not sure I agree that he's TR, but your post should lead to some good discussion.
I think it might be time to re-question everything. What if Team Rocket cannot capture wild pokemon? Also I did not want to lynch mitch primarily because of how accurately he was quoting wild pokemon PMs, but as kwanton showed me I had missed the post where Mandy said he gave them a full PM sample of wild pokemon. So now I'm okay with lynching mitch. Particularly if this new theory of mine is correct and TR cannot recruit, meaning we're probably looking at James, Ekans, Koffins, and maybe Giovanni left. One of which could very well be Mitch. Of course I've also changed my mind about dakky during the course of D2, which is a good enough reason alone to vote for mitch now.
Not sure if this means anything, but both mitch and legion have appeared online and in this subforum much more often than their posting habits imply.
For the record, I believe that Nark and Nag are both wild pokemon.
Finally -- those that have attacked Meowth. I would be very interested in what kind of results you received from Mandy. Meowth is a pokemon but normal type which Mandy never mentioned in the damage calculation section.

Re: Indigo League Mafia/RPG Day 2
The reason why normal type wasn't mentioned is because Meowth isn't a wild pokemon and normal isn't a type for wild pokemon in this game but I want to know how it works mechanics wise when you attack a non-wild pokemon. That way we could probably just kill mitch during the night but lynch someone else like hotshot.

Well it either works two ways - the way Mandy outlined on how you attack a Team Rocket member - which Meowth is.
OR
The more likely way is that for normal pokemon there is no resistance or effectiveness at all. So rather than doing double damage or half damage you just do 1 hit of damage..
It is worth noting that Meowth was a level 2 pokemon, so potentially had 2 hp so this would support the theory that Skoffin had been attacked by multiple people in the night in order to be killed.

The second way Nag suggested (no resists or weakness) is more or less what I figured.

@Nag ,I targeted Tim ,why because as a wp the only win condition I have is to survive to the end and team rocket doesn't , so for me to survive I have to gain more exp. and I will attack to survive hopefully I can hit a TR scum at night.

If you hoped to get a member of Team Rocket, why would you purposely go after a wild Pokemon?
strike wolf wrote:The second way Nag suggested (no resists or weakness) is more or less what I figured.
Ditto.
nagerous wrote:EBWOP
You make up some good points but I think on the last or second last page of Day 1 (on phone so difficult to check) she did still say she didn't find either person particularly scummy. Mitch was an easy vote and would have helped Team Rocket out to take out a WP, but instead she let Fircoal get lynched. In a numbers game this wasn't very smart IMO.
Also, my ideas of Hotshot are: I think he's a trainer trying to come across as friendly to wild Pokemon, while we have mainly guessed that trainers are their own cult faction. However, I also have an idea that Misty and brock could be aligned to Team Ash, despite being gym leaders themselves. Those three are a team in the anime and it makes more sense for me to put them together, making trainers a much larger cult faction than originally thought. Gary is just Ash's rival, but Misty and Brock didn't have a problem with him. Maybe Gary and Ash were fighting not over wild Pokemon (Gotta catch em all etc) but also over Misty and Brock's alignment.
Another thing I am finding interesting is that TWO's alignment colour is not the same as MM's. While the Pokemon colours are signifying their type, I would've thought that TWO would have the same light blue colour as MM to say their alignment. It would not surprise me if a goal of Team Rocket was to catch Pikachu, as that was basically their goal every episode. I don't know how that would factor into their win condition anymore though.

Re: Indigo League Mafia/RPG Day 2
I'm going to reiterate that wild Pokemon shouldn't bother with going after trainers, and until a trainer comes out and says what their win conditions are, then I'm going to keep saying it. Only other trainers and Team Rocket need to care about them, IMO. Wild Pokemon can win with a cultish faction in the game, but not with Team Rocket.
With 17 people alive, let's say there's about 4 members of Team
Rocket left. That gives us a big numbers advantage and I am willing to throw another possible wild Pokemon in the bin (Mitch) cause he seems to just be enjoying the ride and not actually helping us win. If no WP uses their ability tonight unless they're 90% sure they will hit a member of Team Rocket, we will still have the odds in our favour.

I'm just going to say it because it keeps boiling inside me. I told you few pages back that I will deliver you a case on DoomYoshi... but I didn't because Mandy delivered the results that Gary's action FAILED. So that was all that was written in a result PM and not that he managed to catch him or if the pokemon escaped. That's what I got. Maybe Gary got different or more detailed results, but I got just that the action failed and with 2 days of DY not posting it was the boiling point for me to post this.
(All DY posts)
He did mistakes during the game, confessing that he misworded something (similar to BuJ miswording), early going for Fircoal and then switching to Mitch and then faking hammer on Fircoal and some more less important things.

A few other notes in response to earlier questions:
nag - whips appeared in the scene and I thought it was vine whip; Poliwag had purple glow, making me think of Mewtwo recruit
going after mitch in the night is pointless because, whether scum or town, he will hang himself if you give the game long enough
Over the last few days, my perspective has changed on a lot of players. It's amazing what you can notice when you just read the game. I think legion is TR.

Plus what Strike said, what makes you think I am TR, you chuck out that statement with a vote without any reasoning. If your intention is to start a case then surely you would wish to set out said case?
Failure to do so merely shows a desperate attempt to shift attention away from yourself, scum move if ever I have seen one.

My ball didn't failed, Gary's ball failed. I'm the Pokemon, Gary is the trainer. You are accusing me and my balls while I said already I am a claimed pokemon. I'm drunk. Happy new year.

Yoshi had 1 vote on him ... No reason to shift attention away from himself. Maybe with what dakky said people would have focused on him but that hadn't happened yet. If you wanted an answer to your question why not just reiterate what strike said without voting. I already said I was going to re-question everything, so I will try to approach this new case on yoshi with neutral eyes (have him pegged as non-TR), but this post makes you look really scummy legion in my opinion. You don't even mention the fact that dakky just claimed that Gary tried to catch Yoshi, which is a far better reason to vote for Yoshi.
Dakky - If I understood you correctly, then the fact that the ball throw "failed" could still mean that Gary's target simply escaped right? You can't know for sure either way?
I definitely trust that dakky is who he says he is now, but to actually tell all of us gary's actions? How do we know you wouldn't lie about that? Gary would never back you up because he wouldn't want to reveal himself.
Re: Indigo League Mafia/RPG Day 2
Happy New Year to all!
As asked by others... why? I agree legion is one of the more likely TR members, but explaining why you think so would be helpful, especially if you expect to convince anyone else. His OMGUS vote on you doesn't look so good on his part though.

How exactly is "ruining" a game for another player if you're a wild pokemon and enter a Team Gary? It's same recruiting as in any other mafia game. So I don't understand why would it ruin it for you and why that is evil?!
I think you are not a wild pokemon, but rather a trainer or 3rd party and that's the reason the capture failed.

Exactly, we don't know why the action failed, but I have a "feeling" it failed because Yoshi isn't a wild pokemon. Why would Mandy change his own rules mid-game or did he? Of course I won't get support from Gary so you can either choose to believe me or not.

It's obvious that multiple people attacked her because she was level 2 and had no type weakness. Did you think Mandy gave me 3 damage to start off the game?

How is this ruining the game? It's Team Gary's discretion what info to reveal about their night actions. Your reaction here screams sour grapes about being outed.
Being a trainer or mewtwo make the most sense for why the recruit failed. He could be an already captured Pokémon as well, but probability-wise that's slim. If wild Pokémon could just "escape" an attempted capture, I'm sure that would be mentioned in Gary's PM that it's possible and dakky seems like he didn't know anything about that. So unless Gary hasn't shared that info with him, I doubt its the case.
