If you're still trying to get this to work, have you gone to settings >> extensions in chrome and made sure that "Allow access to file URLs" is checked? Otherwise chrome will try to install user.js files natively instead of through tampermonkey and it will be blocked.

agentcom wrote:I accidentally upgraded Firefox from v. 30 to the current version. I was happy to see that BOB has been updated, and it works ... sort of. One problem that I am having is that BOB seems to get his mind stuck on how the map looks when I first load the page. So if I click back through previous snapshots, then click revert to live, I get an image of how the map looked at the start of my turn when I loaded the page. If I hover over a player name, the territs that player had at page load are framed on the map. If I take a snapshot, I get a snapshot of when I loaded the page. Etc. I have to reload the page to get all of the BOB info to update (and be able to take a live snapshot, etc.).

Anyone else seeing this?

I have this same problem. What version of Firefox and Greasemonkey are known to work with BOB?

Guys, I know we don't have a dedicated person updating BOB, but with the latest site update, BOB is preventing N from taking me to the next game and is instead kicking me back to Central Command. I tried disabling all my add-ons and enabling them again, and BOB was the culprit.

For anyone still trying to install BOB in chrome. I found the previous directions unclear also (though they got me pointed in the right general direction, so thanks for that). For anyone else wanting to know:

1. Once you install tampermonkey, click on the icon at the top and select "go to dashboard". Then select the "Utilities" tab.

2. Follow the "zack" link others have posted, right-click on BOB link and choose "copy link address". (Or copy this one, working at least for now: http://privat.bahnhof.se/wb993794//User ... OB.user.js )

3. Go back to the tampermonkey tab (still under the "Utilities" tab within the tampermonkey page), and the bottom option allows you to import from a URL. Paste your BOB link in there and click "import", then choose "install".

Then the rest works for me just like BOB always has. Hope this helps!

um............

WOW!

welcome back BOB. thanks.

why can't the site make the panels this easy to do, and give back this appearance? if they would to that, i am sure folks would use the panels. i have tried them, and i just can't figure them out. this is awesome though.

Is BOB supposed to show the time a game's turn expires? It used to me for me, but now I only have the time remaining, not the actual time the turn expires.

I get the time it expires in the game, but not in Central Command.

The snapshots aren't working for me in non-panel view. When I turn panels on, I can see them. I recently reinstalled BOB version 5.4.0 for some reason, and it broke my snapshots.

I have not had to do any thing with my bob in a few years but at one time I had a problem it was that later versions of firefox will cause BOB not to work.I went back to an older version of firefox and turned off the auto update. It has worked ever sense.I only use firefox now for C-club. I dont think anyone is updating BOB and thats the problem.I would add that if and when BOB stops working I will leave the site as I cant get used to the websites system

Thanks ooge. I have done that to 1 time for many years ago to. Had to go back to an older Firefox. But I use Firefox to other things to so wanted to update it.
I have got help with the website system now & it works but its not as good as BOB I think. Okay its like you say you need to get use to it to.
Im not sure what to do I dont want to get an older Firefox & then other things not work.
Would be good if someone updated BOB.

Basically just got to use site's panels. See the options in the settings and re-arrange them in a way which works for you.

As stated above by iac. the panel interface replaces bob its actually the same code but slightly modified.
it gets turned on here https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=settings

For what it's worth I hated panels for a long time and it took me a lot of getting used to, but now I'm happy with them. I just didn't want to let go of poor old BOB.

Jeez... ain’t this the truth. I’m struggling with panels. I keep turning them on and off in team games. But I’m getting there... slowly... Bob just can’t handle the truth! Or my iPad or chrome or the new millennium.
