VOTING: This vote is to select the third and fourth place entrants as the finals vote will determine first and second. You may select up to two options in the poll. The two avatars with the highest number of votes will take third and fourth place respective to their popular vote counts.

I think it's obvious that the same person submitted three avatars so in semifinals it was me vs. 3 avatars from one person. And since same person can't win more than one prize, I am second while 3rd and 4th place will be decided by vote and therefore those are the losers from previous rounds.

This. Three of the four submission in the top four are from the same person. The two people who did make it to the top four will place 1st and 2nd so in order to establish 3rd and 4th we had to go back to round two for more unique entrants.
