Great feature:)

...would prefer the «Don-is-your-Daddy button» [the whole text should appear on the button, of course]

But yes, +1 !

But Ice, you seem really hellbent on making everyone play it your way. If you want to fight to the last and put all your time into the slim chance of winning then you can still do that. I know it can happen. It has happened to me recently, but its still not how I want to play- so dont make me . Its my game and I want to play it how i want to play it. I am not going to make anyone resign. Its their choice

Resigning games TOTALLLY ruins the game(s) for me. A losing game can still be fun. A resigned game is trash and frustrating as hell. So if it’s not an option and I must accept stupid ass resignations then I’ll keep being hellbent on pointing out how fucking stupid they are

Deadbeating is something that happens. Are you upset about that too. Should the game drone on for however long it takes until you eliminate someone that stops taking turns?

There should be a surrender button ready to go right away.

They only reason it has to have limits is to keep cheaters from using it to dump points.

Oh right, I never thought about deadbeating
It’s the same garbage that’s why it’s 1) something I can rate 2) against the rules to intentionally deadbeat
Resigning is just allowing quicker deadbeating which is pretty damn stupid since it’s been against the rules here for a long time.

So they should not kick out players after they miss 3 turns?

No there has to be a way out like this for freemium etc. but that also affects ratings, isn’t allowed to intentionally be done anyway, and will lower the turns taken score / get rated accordingly.

Resign is not the same as deadbeating, but both are dumb

How would dead beating affect ratings differently than surrendering?

Really? It’s not that hard to figure out.

Deadbeating is against the rules. So you can be brought into C&A for it and punished. You can rate people low, and even have a specific “deadbeating” tag you can apply. So there are deterrents to deadbeating via ratings and other ways

Resign is now within the rules. So you can’t be brought into C&A for it unless you’re point dumping. Rate people low for it, and you can be brought into C&A yourself for potential ratings abuse since its “accepted practice”. So there are no deterrents via ratings or C&A.

Same practice, two complete different set of rules.

You are a clan director but don't understand the ratings system? Cool.

What don’t I understand about it? Enlighten me.
What does being a clan director have anything to do with ratings?

Erased your comment after mine because you were embarrassed? I don't blame you but can still answer your question even though I'm "dense".

If someone dares to use the surrender button to cheat you out of beating them the long way, once you have stopped mourning the loss of the opportunity to drag out the inevitable, you can rate them with the specific "quitter" tag. Even if they didn't break any rules.

The dead beating rule is kind of grey really.

Sure someone might make a report about it in C&A.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=227433

But it's not really considered a big deal is it?

And now it's locked because almost nobody cares about dead beating.

I’m not sure how it’s grey. Pretty clear far as I know, what’s grey about it?
Guess depends on what you consider a big deal, being against the rules for years ...if that’s not a big deal to you then on

A C&A Mod or Admin will review and make a ruling, as usual.
Usually you need 5+ examples from my memory, so maybe a note or warning, unless they find more examples.

So it's no big deal. You have to do it six times before they will tell you, "Hey bro, stop dead beating." Fair enough.

The main point here is you successfully avoided answering both questions that you clearly don't even understand, so... Congrats.

I think we've all been in games where we know it's a lost cause, and even with the ultimate set of quirky dice, you're doomed. But for me, I generally play these out as it seems rude not to take your turn. What would be more polite (especially if I'm about to go away for a few days on business or on a vacation) is to resign the thing and let those with a chance battle it out. I'd suggest a limit to how often players can quit out though, for example once per week perhaps for Freemiums and once every 3 days for Preemies.
