Pearl Harbor is opened... You need to be veeerrry lucky to win this tournament in a 1 vs 1 mode. You start, you win... Good luck to those who will try...

I'm still determined to play each and every one of these...But wow that Pearly Harbor bites. Up to this particular map, across the 6 first round games there's been a good balance between going 1st and 2nd...apparantly not this time...2nd in all 6  :( Neither opponent waited for a snap (not that it would have been much help...but still!) Managed to steal 1 of the first 3, May get 1 of the second batch....There should be some sort of 2nd chance where the first round losers play off against each other or perhaps from one of the other groups...

I've started on this map and lost.

Quite recently, in fact, in the CC Olympics, one of the maps was Pearl Harbour. There was a couple there where I had a great opening drop, deployed something like 16 or 17, lost every roll, and by the end of turn 2 it was my opponent who was deploying 16 or 17.

There's no opening advantage so great that the dice can't somehow screw you out of it.

Are the settings generated randomly? Or does each 3-game set have identical games?

Main reason is that round of completion matters for tiebreaking. Some settings produce slower games than others.

everyone plays the same settings within a round, they are evenly spread as Esc/chained, Nuke/adjacent, NS/parachute, fog could have 1 or 2 games per match since we only have 2 option for 3 games.

Hope this answer your question ;)

Beside this, winner and newest tournament links updated, we are done with Map #1 to #38 and few away to complete 40.

Yep, that's what I was wondering.

Next question. How did I advance here? Not that it matters, I'm gonna get swept in the next round, but I had fewer wins than the guy below me. I know the round count is a factor, but I thought it was only a tiebreaker. I also had H2H wins over the player, but again, I thought the criteria was most wins, fewest rounds in victories, then H2H.

After Round 1 and 2 the score reset and it is best of 3 for round 3, if you manage to win at least 2 then you pass, doesn’t matter the overall wins, aad has more wins but you win the best of 3.

You just join each map master round by the usual means of auto tourney signup.

CC Map Masters - The Ultimate 1v1 Battle!

Post by Mad777 »

Updated tournament links and winners! =D>

Trend is showing iteration going lightly down from 10 to 9 on popular maps...expected scenario after passing the year mark, overall the event still showing awesome interest map after map.

Scoreboard wise, nibotha is taking some extra distance with josko, and with a 40 points lead, behind we have 6 players in the 400th points range and 21 in the 300th points range.

I can't reproduce the exact terminology, but everybody knows it's unfair to play a match where the opponent has a first move in ALL games...
I saw somewhere a thread about preventing such outcome, but can't find it now. After having a first move in only one out of nine games, I felt a wish to revisit that thread. But I need help in finding it...

Well, a thread is dedicated to that issue (what could be done about it). I found it incidentally, but now I am searching the forum to find it again. I can't... :(
If you (or somebody else) find it please let me know...

After having the record -89 points gap at one point, I finally overcame nibotha on the top spot (with currently having equal number of scored tournaments) after nibotha held The top spot for a very very long time.

Now the race is pretty much between him and me as third placed Untouchable has -102 points gap.

This achievement marks an unprecedented domination in official CC events where I currently hold 1st place in the Olympics both as individual and as Tribe, 1st place in Map masters, 1st place in The championship as Tribe and 2nd place in The championship as individual.

So, I hold 4 of 5 1st spots in the ongoing official events and one 2nd spot, which can be partly attributed due to dkmaster playing more games than me in The championship - Teams, where number of games per player per round is not equal like in other The Championships.

nibotha and others, it is now your turn to catch me on the top spot which might be very feasible because my ongoing tournaments results are not so good ;)
