RISK Super League Polling Booth

Post by Craig25 »

Spoiler
A pre-prepared statement from Sepp: Bonjour Mon Amis, CCSL Pioneers & Fellow Scudders, This is your esteemed & glorious Leader & President of the CCPGA, CCFA, CCSL & CCMOFO's Sepp Blatter. I hope you pioneers are enjoying the Risk Super League. What a phenomenal start, 754 games already scudded! I am implementing a programme of continuous improvement to optimise your playing experience........ To make it clear, this isn't Sepp's Tournament, it isn't Craig25's or GeneralFault (Spreadsheet Creator) or SoftBelly's (Graphics Creator), or the League Leaders StackedAmazon or TheOtherJr's, or even CC's tournament. Pioneers, you guys OWN THIS TOURNAMENT. As such, Polls will be used to garner your thoughts which will be used to shape future seasons, or in some cases, even current ones. 1st Poll: Currently we are setting up a Match Up, roughly every 4 days. A Match Up consisting of 4 games for each player. Should this be increased to 5 days, decreased to 3 days or is even a Match Up every 5 days too fast? Things to consider: There are 18 Match Days in a Season. - If set up every 4 Days that's 72 Days, easily 18 days to finish games and a week to turn around a New Season = 100 Days (roughly) - If set up every 5 Days a season would = 120 Days (Roughly) - Blitzkrieg Pace, every 3 Days = 80 Days - If even 5 days is too fast, then a change of format would be required as anything over 4 months is too long for a Season to Last. Pioneers, please vote, and if you have anything to add, please reply on the forum. All Polling and responses are totally optional. Thank you for taking the time to read and vote. Right Troops, Craig25 here, Sepp's just told me to deduct 3 points from anybody that doesn't even take the time to vote! :D Link below, VOTE AWAY: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RESULTS OF 1st POLL:

Well folks, it appears the current speed of play is the most favourable. The League Leaders aim to set up a new round of games every 4 days and will continue to do so. It is also positive that nobody is struggling enough to keep up.

I have had 1 person looking to withdraw, for anyone who feels the same, the only time to do it is at the end of the season. However, the level of feedback on this tournament is HUUGGGGEEE and people are loving it. But if you aren't, time to do it is at the end of any season.

2nd POLL:

I need a poll reply and you can add any additional comments by replying on this thread.

To stop The Super League getting stale. I reckon that each player should have 3 'HOME' Maps that they cycle through every Season. So, 1st Season: Map A, 2nd Season: Map B, 3rd Season: Map C, 4th Season: Map A, 5th Season: Map B, etc.

Also, are there any Maps NOT on the excluded list that are taking too long to Scud? Add your views on this and the poll with a response on the forum:

- 1 Home Map is enough - no need to have any more.
- 2 Home Maps would add enough variety.
- 3 Home Maps are required to keep it fun.
- 4 Home Maps would be really fun.

VOTE AWAY TROOPS!

voted for 5 days, as i think we need to bare in mind the people situations change, work and life and all that. so to give a bit more time for it to happen. The slower pace also makes it feel like real life.

Great work from you all! I think it's great!!

I like 3 days, but 4 will work, I think 5 is too long.

Let's play!

Could a compromise between 3 and 4 be that matches will start twice a week? For example, they could start every Wednesday and Sunday. I know that would be easier for me to remember than trying to remember when the 3rd or 4th day falls.

3 home maps sounds nice!

I think Das Schloss is a horrible map to finish.
