RGV accepts.

clan RGV, currently unranked, is honoured the luck of the draw has us squaring off with such an illustrious and formidable foe as TOFU . I ask they be gentle with us as we strive to provide some competition.

or as one mate says:

G NEWS!!! TOFU v RGV Red Menace in?

Line them up, we knock them down, say mean things to their dog and pour napalm in their VCR machine.

This version of TOFU is not the same version that played in other wars for better or worse.

I don't do push ups...can't be bothered with those. Currently I am working on flat dumbbell press with 130 pound dumbbells and 20 pound chains attached at the 8th link (I'm struggling with getting the 150's in place to lift so this is a better alternative for me). This week I will move to the 10th link to make it a little more difficult...this will be the middle link so I either have to add more chains or move up to the 150's next week...probably adding more chains.

Our sets against ATL are not going so swimmingly. We don't have a locked set loss yet, but ATL away is likely to be one.

-Hi mates:

working on meeting all deadlines, would like to discuss scheduling some time, in a post mortem. All cool but overlapping round in CL13, taking on 3 clans simultaneously, overlapping with Conquerors Cup really put the squeeze on RGV as we try to play in the big leagues.

But for now. let me know of any more glitches and

Here's your chance to join with your mates and simultaneously take on REP and TOFU<top clans in Clan League 13 and Conquerors Cup

and beat them

on their home turf, their home games, their choice of maps, settings and mates.

and have fun doing it.

I also have no idea what you did, you sent me wrong games, deleted games, posted games which are not allowed, created extra games, invited players to the wrong team, I'm very confused.

Re: [CC12] Round 1: TOFU vs RGV

Post by Fewnix »

As expected and discussed, there were, considering my inexperience and scheduling problems with overlapping games in CL!3overlapping with games in Conquerors Cup. glitches. and I take full responsibility for fixing the glitches

-dropped one of the solar system dubs
-told the mate on the wrong team to drop the game

Game 21594215 is a RGV Home Game- RGV v TOFU
Doubles Africa II Escalating Chained Fog
------------------

Scheduling is an issue we discussed

------------
"Hi mates

Our games for set 1, please let me know any problems. Games for Set 2 and filling the different games coming soon, within the deadline..

not trying to make this difficult, or take any unfair advantage, just swamped..

Trying to make this a fun war for all, i'm raw at this and currently RGV which was unranked and inactive for a while,as I took over as clan leader, is involved in close to 50 games in CL!3,simultaneously. hoping, if we give our best, to make the play-offs and Premier Division CL14. Heavy hitters within our clan covering over a dozen games against 3 different clans, , now being asked as CL!3 builds to a climax, to cover another dozen or so games against TOFU, the top clan in CL!3 . :D :D

Fun but challenging

will stay in touch ,sorry for any hassles
"
-------------

We discussed several times adjustments to the default schedule
The default schedule is:
Spoiler
1 Week for negotiating and posting the war thread 2 Weeks for planning and exchanging the first set of games 2 Weeks for filling the first set of games and exchanging the second set of games 1 Week to fill all games
Noting

Clans are free to negotiate and deviate from the default schedule, as long as they meet the 6 week deadline to have all games started.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With hindsight , maybe the default schedule should have been followed, have Set 1 up March 6 but that would have been hard to do with all the overlapping games from CL!3 . My understanding was RGV and TOFU agreed the only deadline was to have all games, Set 1 and Set 2R up this weekend. and i think we are both on track to do that.

Let me know of any more problems

see you on the dance floor

More for discussion in other fora about setting up future Clan Leagues, Conquerors Cups, etc. and game overload, scheduling concerns. etc. etc.

.
Fewnix wrote:
JPlo64 wrote:Why have you not filled Game 21594215?
Invites have been sent out should have been accepted .working on it.
-

Currently RGV is in about 74 games with about 220 slots filled or to be filled. Over the last few days I had to look to some mates who had over a dozen CL!3 games ongoing against 3 different clans and figure out if I could slot them into a dozen or so CL12 games with TOFU.

Invites were sent, some declined or may not be accepted yet.
-------------------
Respectfully / think some post mortem discussion should take place about clarifying the default schedule
1 Week for negotiating and posting the war thread
2 Weeks for planning and exchanging the first set of games
2 Weeks for filling the first set of games and exchanging the second set of games
1 Week to fill all games
Noting

Clans are free to negotiate and deviate from the default schedule, as long as they meet the 6 week deadline to have all games started.
------------------------------------------
What those rules tell me and what I understood from TOFU in discussions about scheduling is that RGV and TOFU had no hard deadlines for setting up games, inviting mates into games ,having games started except the week 6 deadline

Suggestion for future discussion might be better to have firmer step by step deadlines as in: CL
At the start of every round the home clan contacts have to:

Create the home games
Post the home games (game numbers only) in the appropriate thread
Invite the home players and make sure the games get filled

Creating and posting the games should preferably be done on the same Sunday the round starts. However, the deadline for doing all of the above is the Thursday after the start of the round, at 18:00 hrs. CC Time. That means there are 5 full days to get this done.

After Thursday, 18:00 hrs. CC Time, the away clan contacts have 5 more days to:

Invite the away players and make sure the away games get filled

This makes the absolute deadline for joining all games the second Tuesday after the start of the round, at 18:00 hrs. CC Time.
f
----
please note, previous Clan Leagues had 16 games/48 slots to a match with 24 games/72 slot to a match in CL13, there is a greater game load for clans and , as some games do not finish in 3 weeks, overlapping matches lead to even more load.

Suggestion k there should be a second 4 week break, other than the XMAS break in CL!4 to avoid overlapping games with 3 or more clans.

on a different level wonder if much can be done about Conquerors Cup overlapping with Clan League. and other overlapping clan wide events.

appreciate all that you have done are doing and will do

let me know anything I need to do

Historically, CCup has intentionally been a bit looser than CL and allowed clans to negotiate various aspects of it, including schedule. Note that the terms you agreed to (see the spoiler in the 2nd post in this thread) had the set 1 due on March 13 and set 2 on March 27. This is not an issue with the CC war rules. This is an issue of poor planning. CL has a very rigid schedule and you know exactly when games have to be created and filled. CC is somewhat less rigid in that you can negotiate a shift by a week or two, but only within a 6 week window. You knew about the CL and CC war schedule when you signed up on Feb. 1. Note that you canceled your war against RET back in October because you didn't want a large war happening at the same time as CL (understandably!). The nature of CC and CL is that the lower seeded CC clans will always be starting their CC wars at the same time as CL is wrapping up and the clans that make it to the finals will be playing those CC wars at the same time as the next iteration of CL is starting.

It looks like this is a cascading result of your delays getting your games started in CL round 5 against GON. They should have started by Feb. 8, but the first of those games didn't start for a full week past that deadline! Knowing that you had a big war starting up soon, you should have tried to get that batch of CL filled and over with as quickly as possible. Then your 6th round CL games against TOP should have started by March 1, and again you could have filled those games as quickly as possible so players could wrap them up in time to get started on your first batch against us 2 weeks later. Instead, your TOP games were starting at the same time as you were supposed to be starting the first batch of games against us.

If you stick to the schedules and remain aware of what is coming up, you're ready for it. When you ignore the overall schedule and start missing deadlines, everything is going to necessarily pile up at once.

That’s it, 22 wins so it’s official - on to el Classico. Good war RGV. This will be interesting. A wounded bear is far more dangerous than a fat sleepy happy bear.

Agreed;

clan RGV, currently unranked, is honoured the luck of the draw had us squaring off with such an illustrious and formidable foe as TOFU .

We won 7 games so far, expect to win more proud of my mates and my clan, but yes, for the record

TOFU won.

Doc Richard brown didn’t have to be so harsh about badgering this situation with delays especially in a public forum.

Can I assume you're insinuating that I'm a dick with that comment?

Sorry, but we also had active CL batches going against 3 different opponents at the time. TOFU sent games according to the schedule, but our opponents had issues getting organized and almost every single one of the 43 games in this war started at virtually the same time. I would not have said anything except for the multiple public posts in here about how there should be some scheduling rule changes and insinuations that if TOFU had opted for a different schedule for the games it would have been easier. I made a single post that simply laid out the facts in the same way I would with any of my friends.

Good war RGV. There were several really competitive games, and you absolutely rolled in a few as well! Well done.

I'm sure you'll get better at planning ahead and managing overlapping wars as you go. I'm more than happy to engage with you and offer some planning suggestions offline if you'd like.
