Actually, not that far off.

Cleveland was originally named Cleaveland, for its founder Colonel Moses Cleaveland, and it wasn't simplified until 1831.

The story of the the simplification is fairly amusing, too. It has origins in the rivalry between two great newspapers, the Cleveland Advertiser and the Cleaveland Herald. Apparently, the Advertiser won the bitter feud and its spelling became the official one.

Whatever happened to all the old school animations where it looked realistic? Now everything is drawn with these big goofy ass eyes, rainbow hair, and shitty voice acting.

Speaking of hair. Why is everyone dying their hair every color they can get their hands on?! It's like, everyone is going through a Hot Topic phase from high school and just never grew out of it. It looks stupid and just thinking about it makes this visit to the john that much longer.

I recently returned from a trip to Ireland and Scotland. (Great Trip, btw.)

My wife and I went to the grocery store for dairy and fresh fruit, mostly. We saw a woman with...decorations on her face and arms. I do not think they were tattoos, but were similar color, perhaps not as dark. She had like large dots or circles over much of her face. AND, here is the weird part: She was OLD, or OLDER, not a teen and 20-something. I think she looked close to 60, and it is (for me, anyway) odd for a person that old to have such markings or colorations on her face. I have seen younger people with tattoos and some on their face, BUT not like this.

Anyone else seen anything CLOSE to this?

AND, NO, usually do not think of stuff like this while on the john, I usually READ, or nowadays, play a quick game on my device. One projects thinking and the other promotes "living the 5 minutes dream" while sitting on the john.
