Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
I just noticed after losing a game on round limit that they are set to a 20 round limit. Don't want to open up a can of worms on the topic but the banned maps was because of those maps going on and on for rounds on end. If we are doing a 20 round limit can we bring some, if not all of those maps back? The round limit removes any issue with map selection
Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Yes, we have committed to doing just that. At the moment the restrictions are for maps taking an average of 12 rounds or more but we will probably raise that bar so that more maps can be played.Devante wrote:I just noticed after losing a game on round limit that they are set to a 20 round limit. You can see this data in the Banned Maps tab in the Scoreboard spreadsheet and maybe suggest a number of rounds, that could be a good conversation starter.
Thanks

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Just looked at the list, 12 seems a good place to start. Would say then take this season and next season for the remainder and see if they mostly stay under 20 for adding more in

The scoreboard is a work of art, Chipv. A feature that that I find useful is that by clicking on Control and F together I can find my friends by entering their names in the block that appears in the upper right corner.

Thank you and great shout, I have added this to the scoreboard guide in the Tips section.General Brewsie wrote:The scoreboard is a work of art, Chipv. Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Ok this quite a big update that probably requires some more explanation and I may regret this if it is not clear enough, although I added notes for this:

PPM Past takes the average of all past opponents' PPM to give a score indicating the strength of the past opposition.
PPM Next takes the average of all future opponents' PPM to give a score indicating the strength of the remaining opposition.
Run-In = PPM Past - PPM Next which is a relative score between past and remaining opposition.
In the example, the first player's PPM is 1.73 which means they are scoring an average of 1.73 points per match.
PPM Past means the opposition faced so far has an average PPM of 0.91
PPM Next means the opposition not faced yet has an average PPM of 1.31 - as this is higher this means the future opposition is stronger than the past.
Run-In = PPM Past - PPM Next - -0.40 is negative so confirms that the future opposition is stronger than the past so the run-in to end of season is harder.
In the example, the third player's PPM is 1.50 which means they are scoring an average of 1.50 points per match.
PPM Past means the opposition faced so far has an average PPM of 1.31
PPM Next means the opposition not faced yet has an average PPM of 0.95 - as this is lower this means the future opposition is weaker than the past.
Run-In = PPM Past - PPM Next - +0.36 is positive so confirms that the future opposition is weaker than the past so the run-in to end of season is easier.
The scoreboard guide has been updated.

- PPM - average points per match - during the season players play at different speed so this is a measure of performance over matches played
- PPM Past - this is the average PPM of all opponents played in the player's past matches.
- PPM Next - this is the average PPM of all opponents who the player will play next (corresponding to the blue squares in the form and the blue cells in the grid)
- Run-In - PPM Past - PPM Next - this measures the relative PPM of past and future opponents to see if the next matches are easier or harder than the past ones.
A positive score means the past players have a higher average PPPM than the next opponents and therefore easier matches to follow.
A negative score means the past players have a lower average PPM than the next opponents and therefore harder matches to follow.

Too much?
I can remove the PPM stuff if not clear or useful, not an issue.
Feedback welcome

Yes, it is too much for me, but that's just me.It's easy for me to ignore what doesn't interest me, so why not leave it for others who do find it interesting?
Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Thanks - I was wondering if it is not clear enough, perhaps I could change the wording.General Brewsie wrote:Yes, it is too much for me, but that's just me.It's easy for me to ignore what doesn't interest me, so why not leave it for others who do find it interesting?
The idea is to show people how easy their remaining games are and how strong your opponents are.

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Updated as the Run-In calculation made less sense without being proportional to PPM-Past so have divided it to make a percentage (can go below -100% or above 100%)

Player 1 has 27% harder matches to come.
Player 2 has 18% easier matches to come.
Player 4 has 100% harder matches to come. (Remaining opponents PPM Next have double PPM compared to previous ones PPM Past)

- PPM - average points per match - during the season players play at different speed so this is a measure of performance over matches played
- PPM Past - this is the average PPM of all opponents played in the player's past completed matches.
- PPM Next - this is the average PPM of all remaining opponents including incomplete active matches.
- Run-In - (PPM Past - PPM Next) / PPM Past - this measures the relative PPM of past and remaining opponents to see if the next matches are easier or harder than the past ones.
A positive score means the past players have a higher average PPPM than the next opponents. (Easier matches remaining)
A negative score means the past players have a lower average PPM than the next opponents. (Harder matches remaining)

Player 1 has 27% harder matches to come.
Player 2 has 18% easier matches to come.
Player 4 has 100% harder matches to come. (Remaining opponents PPM Next have double PPM compared to previous ones PPM Past)

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Another colour change based on feedback:
Form - Match results in order

Best Streak - longest streak of consecutive wins (4-0 or 3-1) - X squares do not count as a win but they do not break win streaks (consecutive green / blue squares). For example:
Form - Match results in order

Best Streak - longest streak of consecutive wins (4-0 or 3-1) - X squares do not count as a win but they do not break win streaks (consecutive green / blue squares). For example:
- Row 1: X square does not count as a win but it does not break win (green / blue) streaks so the biggest streak is 6.
- Row 2: The green / blue squares are not broken up by anything so the biggest win streak is 5.
- Row 3: There is a green / blue win streak of 2

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Should be it now, I do want to post one final stat on PPM v PPM Next but need some feedback on PPM
Player 1 has 27% harder matches to come.
Player 2 has 18% easier matches to come.
Player 4 has 100% harder matches to come. (Remaining opponents PPM Next have double PPM compared to previous ones PPM Past)

- Row 4: There is a green / blue win streak of 2
- Points Section
- Points - 3 for 4-0, 2 for 3-1, 1 for 2-2

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
New stat
Projected - projected points at end of season based on current PPMs.
This is not a prediction - it is a projection based on performance to date so if you keep scoring 4-0s from now these projections will change.

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
I'd like to see matches completed and points in adjacent columns.
Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
I could do that - is this something other people want as well, please post if you also want this?Kevi wrote:I'd like to see matches completed and points in adjacent columns.

How often does the scoreboard update? Sometimes it seems to get stuck.

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
my eight games just repeated into 16 games! doubled up against the same 2 players, is this a result of the "improvement update" ?? Happening to anyone else?
Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
This is my fault for tinkering at the wrong time - I am about to launch a different mechanism for the scoreboard as it was freezing from time to time.gorehound wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 10:15 am my eight games just repeated into 16 games! doubled up against the same 2 players, is this a result of the "improvement update" ?? I have removed all of the duplicates but a small number of you were fast on the trigger and have started the games already - I have sent you a PM if affected.
We will clean up so nothing for you to do other than accept the invites you have now.
Thanks and apologies

Hi chip,
I can't move to the right on the scoreboard anymore. Is it still updating? I think i didn't get 3 points for my last 4-0 win.
Thanks,
Lx

I am working on publishing a new scoreboard that should update without freezing today.

Re: CC Super League and CC FA Cup Main Thread
Fixed issues with scoreboard freeze and added a clock so you can see when it was last updated.

Small quality of life change to put the last updated time in the top left hand cell primarily for people viewing on mobile devices
The image for how to view notes has also been updated for mobile devices.
This now leaves me with some room for another chart, not sure what yet, suggestions welcome.
