Don't listen to Bandera...
You can both play from the same computer and even play in the same games, as long as you attack each other fairly and don't take turns for one another.

if you are earnestly trying to dismiss any doubt about whether you guys will be cheating or not - in games that you play together in - unless they are doubles/triples - it would be advised that you announce that you guys are brothers and/or playing from the same machine. Some other players may take note as to when you guys start and stop your games - etc.

... then theres no problem right?
Yep, that's the safest way. Even if you don't mean to, you may sometimes play differently against a certain opponent because you know them and not the others. For some, it creates a de facto secret alliance, and they don't even realize it until they are accused of being multis (or they realize it but deny it)

Even if you did have your own computer but on the same (home) network then you would STILL play with the same IP. Same applies to some campus areas or anywhere else where people play from the same local network.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just play fair according to the rules of the game. Any shady business is got nuttin to do with yous, it's the responsibility of the site operators to be fair to all members and not hassle people who share the same network or same computer.
