[spoiler=Original Post]Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to Conquer Club and am enjoying it. Anyway, with the ridiculous amount of free time I have, I decided to try and make a map... and ended up with this, a Chess Map.
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/1083/chessboardmapfivecc6.png
It was done on MS Paint, it probably isn't in its final stage yet, but it's a start.
So, if you experienced CC players have any input on this map, it would be appreciated. It is a bit chaotic compared to the other maps, since most of the attacking is one-way, and the territories are scattered pretty much randomly, but it does somewhat replicate an actual chess scenario. (Except for the kings in triple and quadruple check, lol.)
And, before anyone asks, I have checked, and each piece can attack and be attacked. No useless lumps, or invincible territories.
A few questions I would like answered:
Is this a good idea, or was it never meant to be?
Should I include the movement of pieces on the bottom, or are those common knowledge?
Should I change the bonuses?
Should I have a background image, and if so, what?
Should I use 3-D pieces?
Is anybody willing to do further graphic editing on this, since I lack a good graphics editing program?
Again, any intelligent comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
