Mentoring Works!

Post by Brock »

Molacole went out of his way to help me improve my game! He was able to instill a renewed sense of confidence that helped me not only win my first game, but also to start to enjoy the finer points of strategy rather than my previous "hell bent for leather" blame the dice not my skill approach!

"Hats off" to not only a great player but a guy who is willing to share.

Mentoree. I'd say I'm a 3. I'm pretty dedicated to this game, I find it addicting now that I know the basics but thats about all I know right now.

I have signed up here before as a mentoree and got some good advice but if anybody thinks they can help me progress some more your help would be greatly appreciated.

Warning : I am not a great student so you may have your work cut out for you
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I'm doing pretty good so far but I'm sure I'm making a lot of mistakes. Anyone want to give me some pointers, send me a PM, I'll be very receptive!

I'll also like to sign up as a mentoree, (3). I haven't played any Risk before finding this site but I think I have a hang of the controls, and have even won one(1) game. I guess you can PM if you are interested.

Hi,

Love the Game, recently joined this site to work on my skills so I can absolutely smash my friends on the actual board game.

New to risk but I am playing a lot and wanting to learn alot!! Any tips and advice for me would be great!

I've played the board game many times. My strategy seems stale and near sighted. Would love a mentor to point out different strategies and ways to read the board better.

You guys, don't be shy about PMing each other. If any of the mentorees haven't found someone with a week or so of posting here, and PMing a person or two as potential mentors, let me know and I'll help.

I'm new to the site and would definitely be willing to have a mentor to teach me a few things. I would make a great apprentice...

I need help, and lots of it - I'm playing loads of games on tons of maps - early successes with cairns coral coast and the battle for Australia, but overall struggling. I've limited myself to sequential with cards (flat or escalating). Am having loads of fun playing all the different maps, but would rally appreciate some coaching on basic strategy.
