So do I. But only the original version. The newest one sucks.

Not better, just different. I personally prefer A&A because I like the additional elements of strategy - air and sea power, counterattacks, etc. If it was A&A v. purely classical Risk, I'd probably say A&A. But this is Conquer Club, and it is significantly better than purely classical Risk. So... not better, just different.

On my PC version I win playing Axis or Allies. Guess I have played it too much and now its boring to play vs. computer as victory is always achieved.

A WWII based game. Started out a board game. 5 Nations (2 Axis, 3 Allie). Simular to Risk but more types of troops from infentry, tanks and fighter planes to Bombers submarines and battleships.

My question is:
When, if ever, do you go for the weapons advancements?
Personally, I only go for them when I'm guaranteed a win and just "mopping up", but if there is some strategy I've always missed, I'd like to hear it.
I like A&A better than Risk, but CC better than both (map variations make CC better for me).

Depends on your game strategy. If you like bombing them out of money, buy upgrades. If you like sub blockades, buy upgrades. If you like to buy tons and tons of infantry, it's definitely worth a try. The difficulty is that you can't commit to one strategy when you buy upgrades - you have to wait and see what your strength is going to be. Personally, I just buy a lot of infantry on turns that I roll for upgrades, since they could change my entire strategy.
