Option to require a move in less than 24 hours?
This MUST have been discussed before, but I'm getting pretty sick of waiting up to 24 hours for someone to make a move, (sometimes intentional), or even MISS a move (again sometimes intentional).
Can we have a game option where you specify that you get X minutes maximum to make a move (with perhaps a few time-outs to answer a phone call, or do 'actual work' generally.)
X could be set to for example 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour, etc.

ok, its august... when the hell are speed-games coming?
Lack, and other mod and admin, i realize that you all have a lot of stuff to take care of on the to-do list, but i want these games to come out soon. i took a summer break from cc b/c i couldn't be sure that i would make all of my turns, and i dont want to make anyones life miserable. could you just give us a vague date, even the month would be spectacular. Thanks.

Freestyle Change Suggestion
My Idea is that freestyle rounds instead of being 24hours max should be an hour max. Now this would not be a speed game it would be a way to get people to not use cheap delay tactics and create a mentality that would be more true to the nature of freestyle. As I am sure most people who play freestyle can attest the waiting game and unpredictabilty in the huge 24 hour span turns a lot of people away from the game type. this change I believe would reattract alot of those that have been turned off by the style up to this point.

Wouldn't this require players to be awake and at their computer 24 hours per day?

People would still intentionally delay the game to prevent quick bonus', causing the situation quoted.

I wont be as negative as deathscyte...
But where you attract some players who dont like the current freestyle you will lose many more players that loved the freestyle as it is now.
Say you start a game for 6 players.
So you'll need 5 players to join. (6-1=5 xD lol)
That generally takes some hours, what about 3 hours.
But of course you are tired and you go to sleep (you have school next day).
In the morning you wake up (way too late, so you hurry your way to school and you arrive just in time.)
So you still haven't played your game.
By the time you are back from school it will be about 15 -20 hours after you started your game.
Thats 20 rounds you've missed O_o
Which means you are dead yes xD.

Maybe make it a new tipe of game play
I think reading the responses this sujuston has got some pros and cons... If you made the joining proces similar to that of the speed games and called it another tipe of game so that it just ends up being another option, for the people who want it it could be good. And for the people who don't want it they can just keep conquering as normal.
add new time / move options
My idea is to add an option when you start a game to create games with 12 hours / move, 2 days / move...1 hour / move etc. Perhaps only make it a subscriber feature?

15 minutes?
I think it's too short of time to get a speed game going. Not all the time, but sometimes depending on the time of day and the map it's hard to get a game going. Do you think maybe it should be a half hour?

Automatic PM's
When you join a speed game, make the PM stating that the game started instantaneous...meaning that I don't have to refresh the screen to see that it started.
