I think it would be a really great idea if some form of

[tc]basic table capabilities would make the presentation of results a whole lot easier.[/tc]

or for those with less html ability, (tho it's learnable pretty easily) even something that would allow for the insertion of a spaced tabstop in the message body. The fact that all spaces are reduced to a single space is really annoying, when if I could dump from excel, a properly tabbed table, and if the spaces in the messaged matched the spaces in this box, it would all look pretty..
I'm sure this is possible, I'm not sure how, but I'm sure it wouldn't be -too- hard to create some sort of spacing tab...

If you do the following it should work (do NOT use [ Code ] Tags):
1) Update your Spreadsheet [Excel]
2) Select All relevant rows/columns
3) Ctrl-C to Copy
4) Open Notepad [or some other TEXT editor - not word processor]
5) Ctrl-V to Paste into Notepad
6) Ctrl-H to Search and Replace
7) type a space " " in the Find part and type " " in the replace part
8) Notepad now looks FUGLY (Freaking Ugly)
9) Ctrl-A to Select All
10) Ctrl-C to Copy
11) Switch windows to your tourney thread that you are editing
12) Ctrl-V to Paste it into the section you are touching
NOTE: You have to make sure that HTML is ON as is HTML code for non-breaking space. Mine is currently set to OFF and I don't know how to turn it on (I guess I could look around ... )

I'm fairly certain that this is NOT the case.
I have smilies disabled. So, when I post :) it shows up as :). [No matter who's reading it]. However, whenever I'm reading a post where that has been typed in - I see smilies.
The other day I had "(2007 November 8)" in a post and someone quoted me - it came out as (2007 November *smiley*
Based on those results, I would assume that once you code it and put it into the system - it remembers what your source code was (for quoting and modifications), but actually converts it to presentation for viewing in PMs and threads.

Seems like quit a lot work if you have to do this each time you update a table. I use the code-tags, and when you make sure that each field in your Excel-file within 1 column has the same amount of caracters (I just add spaces after the short names to make them have the same amount of caracters as the largest name in the column), you can just copy the table and paste it between the code-tags and the table looks OK in the forum.
