Post by soundout9 »

What was the biggest tourny ever? What was your biggest tourny?

My biggest was 64 players
All Holds Bar tourny currently has about 55 players with sign ups lasting until december 31st i think i might be able to get over 200 people!

So what has been the biggest tourny cause i want to make a bigger one

Trouble is , if you have started recruiting so early, half of them wont show up and then you have more work trying to find players to fill there places and so on!

Well, I'd say that the biggest is the 4 divisions x 180 players. Or is it count as 4 different ones?

And biggest is kinda wide expression. I mean, having a tourney with 180 players, for example, is of course hard but at the same time I would say that some bigger leagues have the same amount of games and they are as hard, if not harder, to organise and keep track of.

Don't know if my point game out :(

Optimus and I are hosting Cairns Coral Coast Masters.
Cairns Coral Coast is going to have 180 players in 4 Divisions=720 players
This tournament we gave a month for signups. We sent out reminders a week ago, and less than a dozen people did not respond, so we have had good luck with player retention.

I have almost finished running a tournament (Gozar's Classic Tournament) that had 125 players. It took about a week to fill, and I only had one dropout.

Clairns Coral Coast does not count as 1 huge tourny. more like 4 different tournys. So I will Make All Holds Bar the biggest tourny...EVER!!!

No, CCCM is one tournament. It has the same game style and settings, the same hosts, and the same sponser.

Heh, good luck to you. I am sure you can get 181 people in a month if you try. :)

Yes, I do like the glory, ALL of the glory, it is my small portion of Decepticon sympathy hidden deep within my spark that makes me crave it all the time.

In regards to large tournaments, if you are counting total game counts, I think Gasoline Crusades was something in the vicinity of 600+ total games for the entire tournament, so that one was pretty big. I'm sure there have been some others either as big as that or bigger though.
