hey prod received. I just got back from a concert a couple of hours ago, haven't had time to read over my games here. Will do later tonight.

Here you used the same logic that blake used. So you are voting for him for doing exactly the same thing you did by voting for him?
It wasn't the same logic..Shield is talking about the quick l-1/unvote from blake..Which does seem scummy when you look at it.
I cut out all the unneccesary stuff above. Part of sg's argument is that "but since has blake has more votes". That's shameless bandwagoning in an attempt to seem unsuspicious. I realize that in sg's mind he is voting for the specific act (vote unvote on AoG). But that specific act was based on blake's attempt to bandwagon in order to seem unsuspicous. It gets a bit convoluted there, but it makes sense I swear

Okay but this is precisely what some others have tried to explain. We're looking for motivations, what reasoning and posts the players use to further their agendas. To rely on the happenstance cop investigation for D2 leads only diminishes town's winning chances (and honestly is dull). I know that you don't like that, I remember you suggested similar, very cautious stuff when you played before your last ban, but really D1 lynching a townie isn't that bad. In fact, it gives us evidence about who participated in the lynch.
Which brings me to my next point, if I may direct your attention to AoG's VC on the last BW that precipitated his claim:
Rodion, 00icon, naxus, Doom, Shield, blakebowling
4/6 players could be considered newer players, and I believe that they may have voted for Army of GOD because the D1 no lynch is an established scumtell, and so they may have been sticking to the mechanics, learning the ropes kinda thing, etc. That doesn't mean they were misplaced, but I have some thoughts on the matter.
I was gonna post earlier regarding the AoG BW (Sunday I was working, and when I got home I was working on a calc test, and then Monday after the second part of the test I was driving to the concert--didn't get back until this afternoon), that the easy lynch is easy. So while some of you could be scum leaping at the chance to lynch a townie who made the classic D1 no lynch and get of scott-free, I think that a more experienced player would use this to their advantage. For example, MeDeFe's case on DoomYoshi jumped out at me. Not that the case itself was poor of quality or anything like that (honestly I'll have to read more into the DY-MeDeFe exchange), but rather the timing. It was an opportune time for someone to make a case on Doom since he was on the BW and AoG had claimed. I could see someone clever like MeDeFe waiting until that silly BW died down and use posts by one of those spearheading the BW to build a case. I know this is pure speculation and meta, so I won't even bother placing a vote or fos, but I think this serves as an example of how there are always motives behind others' posts.

I can't deny that this is a possible explanation. The truth is more mundane, though.
DY was a driving force behind the wagon against AoG, then he jumped on blake for playing exactly by the book by joining and then leaving the wagon after the claim. A behaviour I wouldn't find overly suspicious even from a highly experienced player, from a new player who has learned the basics of the game it is pretty much to be expected. I wanted to make my case before a second wagon against blake (who, as I've said, I believe is town) got completely out of hand. When noone counterclaimed AoG it certainly did not help allay my suspicions.
In hindsight I must admit that a part of the case I made was due to DY and me having different styles of playing the game, and due to us evaluating the risk of some things very differently. I am by no means convinced he is town, but I can understand where he's coming from a bit better, although I still think he's doing it wrong.

the universe is one big chain of events. i believe nothing is independent. in hindsight i should've kept my mouth shut, you puny humans will never understand.
This has turned out a very difficult day 1. There are lots of connections i can see between players, but no major slip ups(not including AoG). Whoever flips due to the NK will be valuable info for the next lynch.

I feel like you just served us a meal of insults and a desert of summary. I don't see much substance in this post that hasn't been said already. Does the underlined part mean you are not human and possibly robot scum?

Did anyone else notice AoG hasn't posted at all since the attention shifted to myself and yoshi?

Actually he has. He was trying to figure out when being voted for became a scumtell lol

Yes I had, however he has claimed a character (a high-profile one at that) and no-one has counter-claimed, so I don't think there's much to pursue there. I wouldnt be surprised if it is partly fake though - vanilla townie in a 12-player game seems unlikely.
For now I will unvote

I found it after you mentioned it, but I didn't see it the first time.
We have two days left, and we have to vote to do something (and I'm pretty sure everyone but AoG agrees no lynch is usually a bad idea). I honestly don't see much of any reason to suspect anyone (there have been some strange / dumb things done, but nothing I would attribute to scumtells). The way I see it we have (roughly) three options: make others reveal something about themselves / start a new BW on someone, lynch AoG (to make sure we don't kill a town power role), vote me (until I'm forced to claim that is). If you ask me, the most plausible route is to get some sort of information from someone new, but then again I'm new at this.
Re: Terminator Mafia Game Thread Day 1 (2 days till night)
I think jeraado is a good candidate for 3 reasons:
He had only made two posts, both of which were reiterations of what I had said. I like when people agree with me, but that's one of scum tactics... just pick a town player and agree with them. Now he has made a third. Could be perceived as a smokescreen post.
Tails and Icon are normally inactive which makes me leery about voting them. However with jeraado I have no idea what his meta is like and so I will play it safe and keep my vote there.

So you make a case on blake and then when called out on it, you switch to the inactive?

Yes, I changed my mind since I realized the 'evidence' was not very strong. Also you will notice that I switched not when I was called on it, as both of my voters had begun to agree with me. I switched when there was still enough time to get a lynch together.
Maybe inactive is the wrong word, but I was trying to say you are posting with your usual density.

Ok crunch time. 8 out of 12 people have voted. Is everyone convinced at least partially that blake is the way to go?

Shouldn't blake be at 3 instead of 4?

Vote DoomYoshi. I was hoping I wasn't the only one seeing something weird about him accusing everyone.
Re: Terminator Mafia Game Thread Day 1 (1 day 5 hrs till ni
You have to bold it blake, for the vote to count.
And if the vote count that I have in my head is correct- both blake and yoshi each have 3 votes right now.
Directly split down the middle. My current vote on Tails is from the joke vote stage, and certainly isn't helping us get anywhere so I will Unvote
Blake gave a subtle hint to his role earlier- I don't know if anyone caught it or not. I caught it, and would prefer not to vote for him right now.
Sorry Doom, but we do need a Day 1 lynch.

That's how I roll dude.
So Violet, adding to the list of people who are voting for someone just because others are? Since when does having votes on you constitute a scumtell?
I find this suspicious considering that your last post was agreeing with my reasoning.
Also, why would you draw attention to blake's subtle hint dropping? What do you have to gain from 'protecting' him? I know you usually post once a day, so I doubt you will reply to this before the day ends. However, I also know that you are usually the voice of reason in the angry mob and if you are against me - I'm pretty much screwed
In honour of the age old tradition: Don't lynch me, I'm a Super-townie
But seriously, if random lynch it is, why not go for the claimed vanilla townie? Or get an inactive. I am on here night and day trying to keep the convo moving so people can put their scumhunting to good use.

Yoshi is definitely the better candidate at the mo (hence my unvote from blake earlier). I'm going to go ahead and make the gap a bit more decisive by throwing my vote in too.
Buddy, you called me out for not posting enough, and fair play to you for that, but there's an equally suspect opposite approach of flooding the forum with loads of low-value posts. All that does is spread suspicion far and wide, preventing us from actually analysing what is happening. It seems like you're not actually pausing to see what is going on, and keeping the conversation from settling on any one topic. That says to me that you are either scum, or just a bit of a hinderance to actually catching scum. Either way, with just over a day to deadline, you're by far the biggest candidate.
vote doomyoshi
Fastposted: But really that changes nothing. Deflect attention and try to claim scummy behaviour is your norm. "That's how I roll", and "I play hard and fast" isn't a defence, if its true it just means you aren't that good

Sorry for the double-post, but I can't let this slide:
Why? Why lynch the claimed vanilla townie? If you genuinely think he's lying then make that claim, and be prepared to back it up. However given that you haven't voted for him and haven't given any reason for the lack of a counter-claim for a central figure, I'd have to assume that you're advocating lynching him because he doesn't have any powers? If that's the case then thats even scummier than voting no-lynch. The point of making sure that we at least make a real effort for a lynch is so we can learn information about each player, such as scummy statements, lies, voting patterns etc. What exactly would we learn by reforming a wagon here?
