ok, i'm not sure how mafia online usually works, usually when i play with my friends, we don't have the variants of cop and stuff (but we did use them last night and it was siiiccckkkk).
At home, usually the killing turns out to be pretty random unless something occurs that catches the eye of a townsperson and the mafia members are able to be picked out. What we lack here is the bonus of actually sitting with the other players and trying to read their body language and see into their thought process beyond what they say.
But we do have an added advantage. We have players that have information that could aid us in deducing who is mafia. We've already lost our cop and gained nothing from him, if this is acceptable play, i think its time we start finding out what people know.
Again, i'm not sure if this is good sportsmanship, or if it is smart play, or if its even helpful, but there is information out there, and i don't think decisions should be made until some is out there. Perhaps Droz was right in the no lynching business. It was something i was not used to, and it just sorta sounded fishy to me from the get go, so i mistakingly jumped on him.
I'd like to know what the other players think about this. Should we start to divulge our players and what we know?

i don't know, but i'm not sure that will necessarily be the case. The mafia would have to be very clever in who they say that they are. also, depending on how many people have information and what information people have, then i think we could be able to deduce who's info either seems fishy, and if the mafia ends up knowing who to kill, we would know what everyone else already knew. i guess the only flaw is the doctor...who would probably get killed fairly quickly

Besides the Doctor, other pro-town roles are:
One-Shot Vig- Gets to kill one person one night.
Roleblocker- Gets to choose one person each night and make their power not work.
Randomizer- Gets to choose one person and if that person is a power role then their nightchoice does not go on who they choose it goes on a random person.
Double voter- Gets two votes. One that everyone knows about and one that this person sends the mod. (A secret vote)
These are just a few, If you dont think I've proven my point then I can post some more power roles.

Banana Stomper wrote:then where is this knowledge that we have pent up in the townspeople supposed to help us out? Knowledge kept to ones self isn't knowledge. I think it has to come out somehwere, and i don't see where else it will.
The majority of the "knowledge" that the town has comes from the talk that is supposed to be going on during the day.
However, hardly anyone is talking so we will probably end up w/ a line, followed by a no-lynch, which is basically a wasted day.
Everyone- Be on the lookout for lurkers.

I agree. However, with the way this game is going, it looks like everything is based on randomness

Bandwagon is essentially part of human nature. If someone makes a great point, it's like as if a switch just flipped on in everyone's head. 'Ah...yes...why didn't I think of that! He must know what he's talking about, so if I follow him perhaps I can learn a little and look smart in the process.' Obviously it can backfire, as was seen.
As with everyone shouting out their roles, I'm not sure it's a great idea, but we really don't have much to go on as is. And with our cop gone, we may need all to become 'cops' our selves, but in the sense that we need to look back on who was lynched, how, who was killed, and look for any possible connections between them, other than randomness.

Lets see...
---Obviously the very first death of Mr. Dexter had to be random--I think everyone can agree with that.
---As for Droz I think he got a little steam rolled by us all for being new to the game.
---But Hoff is the interesting kill. I think the mafia sniffed him out for being a cop. I'm not sure if it was
As for things other people know? I don't know. It was said that Droz was a back-up doc, so we still must have one more. Keeping him alive is a priority, but not something we necessarily can feasibly do.

or his lack of posting, or something else entirely. It could have been a random kill, but I'm thinking all signs point to yes that it wasn't.Hoff wrote:I will not vote for anyone up to vote.

FOS: for info fishing
I was thinking the same thing but I didnt want to jump on him for something so small. DRoZ was lynched for little things as well and that didnt turn out great.
this game is turning out just like the last one. It's moving soooooooo slow
If for nothing else than to get the game moving faster...
