Since my last post we've made an number of small performace gains by tweaking things with the game and server software. On Tuesday morning we installed an additional 2 GB of memory on the web server and that certainly helped.

Still, during peak times the server is under stress. With a record level of activity and a growing membership, we need to really expand our capacity. I just had a second conference call with the experts from Rackspace (our hosting company) and we're preparing a plan to do just this...

Screw 2GB, go all the way and add a whole 2TB MAN!! DO EET!!! The server will be so fast, all our computers will explode because it's giving us the information at such a high rate of speed. It'll be like, I open my web browser and CC has already taken the liberty of logging me in, taken my turns and has begun on the posting already.

U GUYS R CRAZY!

u think they to add more memory space another entire 1024-fold???

that much memory space is... omg, u have any idea what that would do to costs? the only thing that 'causes things to slow down is when there isn't enough memory to proccess everthing at the optimum speed, once u have ENOUGH memory, adding more memory doesn't do anything, other than waste money.

Geez, it was obviously a joke (hence all the laughing). It was kinda like how my friend was talking about getting a T1 connection, and how awesome it would be. We were all like "Dude, that would be sooo cool! You'd like, get to the computer and the porn would be already downloaded for you!"

um... I did sorta end my last post with " :D  :D " so... I'm not sure how things are on these forums (i'm kinda new to CC) but in my experience, ending remarks with some smiling/laughing emoticons usually signifies "the above is a joke".

On the other hand, if u were to accuse me of taking the joke to far and kiling it, that's another matter... of which I would probably plead guilty, but i happen to be very bored sitting here in front of my comp, so... yeah...

Uh, where can i buy this computer where the porn is already downloaded for you? That would be great and it would save me a lot of time! Thanks in advance.

Pre_downloaded porn,
It is an old style interface, nothing new about it actually. Go to the local corner store and look in the magazine aisle. There you you will find a user friendly pre computer era style porn interface. I know that there is always the danger of paper cuts, I feel though that with practice you will learn to overcome this difficulty .

T1 is an internet type, and I could probably just write a program that could do that for any computer, so...

Thanks Lack, its a good call and progressive. If this was simple fix I very much believe it would have been taken care of, but a simple fix it is not...

For those of you posting here, try and add something of use rather than a post count (being on topic might help too...)

JR (gonna call you honey dude i think) you are right, we pay for a service, and have a right to expect that service, The problems which are ongoing are being addressed, but there is a point where one has to consider whether the service is capable or beyond their capabilities.

I really enjoy this site, and greatly enjoy freestyle games, but I have been frustrated/disappointed over the last few weeks with interruptions and slow downs. Please note: I actually think I may have gained points with the lags, but I really would rather have the competition than the unfair gain.

Again,Lack I know the difficulties, I have been there twice...but it is important to let us know that things are progressing towards a solution..Please!!

My two cents worth (if its worth that much hehe)
