That's cute. I thought my city was small, at 6 times the population of yours.

My town has upwards of 150,000 people living in it. Here in the UK a city is not a city until it has a Cathedral in it.

If I build a Cathedral in the woods in the UK can I found my own city??

silly. in the uk a cathedral isn't a cathedral unless it's built in a city.

I'm not trying to say that I live in a big city. I am just saying that I am not a hick that lives out in the middle of nowhere. It seems like us North Dakotains are always sterio-typed to be that way.

If "uneducated" is part of that stereotype, you are perpetuating it yourself.
I am not uneducated either.

In that case, you might want to show some of that education, by using proper spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar. Your apparent inability to do any of those things, gives the appearance of a lack of education.

Wow.....how did this simple poll develop into one individual taking affront to almost everything typed, and a great deal of it meant in jest????

In the famous words of Mr Monty Python.... "Excuse me please, I'd like to buy an argument".

First of all, this topic can touch a nerve with Americans. They had a civil war you know.

Second of all, BLAME FOX NEWS for their imho "redneck my way or the highway" views on world events, American events and their knack for feeding BS to right wing America. Most of you probably still believe the 911 terrorists (note I spelled it correctly) entered your country through Canada....this is a malicious lie that is continuously being espoused in America, and often by employees of the afore mentioned news (and I use that term loosely) agency.

If I had to name who I believe to be the greatest American president I would name Lincoln for the sole reason of freeing the slaves. This event alone imho dragged America into her proper place in the world and made it a better country. However, I greatly admire FDR. But I'm a Canadian, living on the outside and looking in.

I recommend people to get back to voting on who they think is the best president, but I'm not sure anyone should give reasons as it just seems to enrage others.

The problem with the written word when compared to the spoken word (in person) is that you can not see the speaker, and therefore, you can not see whether they are teasing/jesting, or are downright angry. There is no emotion in the written word, but people read emotion into it, and often for the worse.

Perhaps this thread should be locked?????

Please try to gain a view of world events outside of the "American perspective". You probably won't regret it.
