Alignments were distributed after the roles, and are random. Random.org doesn't care about borderline bastard roles. You're putting way too much value on whether or not the power of itself is town aligned, it only matters how the power is used.

Sigh.
Nothing like making the same mistake twice to really make yourself feel stupid.

Dakky. You made the first comment after my major case against Endgame, which was the first real case besides all the rampent speculation and gobbldy gook. You do not even offer an opinion or aknowledge what I had written. All you offer is this?

You are number two on my list...for now.

Strikewolf with a mega-long post that lacks any real content. Congrats on looking like you care, but thats doesnt mean that you do.

There is a very bold claim in there, so bold that I have bolded it below. Now given that you have said that your interation with Aage is seperate to this, so I assume you are talking about your comments about family reuinion week as serious conversation started long before you voted Madmitch for the usual pointless absentism reason.

strike wolf wrote:I also got the serious conversation going early on. You're welcome. I also called out Aage and anyone else who cared to a chance to respond if my post was really that surprising. I am not stalling anything. I wanted to see who would jump on the Madmitch bandwagon. It doesn't surprise me that Streaker was one of them. I am also noting that he added nothing to the reasoning other than a vote to the tally.

What I am saying here is that you talk a good talk, but havent actually offered anything to the game despite multiple claims to the contrary. It seems like you want it to be well known that you are scumhunting, without actually scumhunting. And for this reason Vote StrikeWolf

Strikewolf on Streaker

strike wolf wrote:Says he wants to get the ball rolling than makes a post about game mechanics and a joke vote on IB. [-( [-(

Yeah because thats not almost identical to your own play....

The Endgame bandwagon is interesting. When it started I fully agreed with it, the logic is really good from IB. Town FOS for IB from that. (Is that a thing?) His scum tell is needlessly manipulative posts which his first comment about Mitch was. Not sure whether he could be quite so stupid as to make such a fundamental logical error, but I have no desire to rush this.

L-2 End, no claim?

think end claiming is something that should happen soon, i havent voted him, think he has got enough at this point, but would like to see a claim. we are halfway down the day i guess so a good time for a claim and to be honest so far his explanations have not been satisfying to me. "i made mistakes" well can happen but valid enough for votes day 1. Dont see a "wagon" forming before the weekend to get someone else to claimpoint and with usual low activity weekends i am afraid we get to a standstill if we dont move forward.

Fair enough, but seriously, you can be wrong about endgame and me.... I don't think endgame has mafia alignment. Could be, but also couldn't be. I just don't know yet, and if it comes to the hammer stage, I will not hammer. More talk needed....

Are you a tax accountant too?

I just got done with all the tax returns that were due today... they all took longer than I thought they would, so I kind of never went home from work last night... working 33 hours straight isn't much fun, and my brain isn't thinking too straight right now, so going to have to wait until I get some sleep tonight before I can make sense of reading the thread so far.

But in any case, I see that endgame is getting a lot of attention, and my joke vote is still on him, so i will unvote him. After I actually read the thread I might decide there is a case on him, but don't want to just leave my joke vote hanging around without a reason.

MY first OMGUS is streaker calling virus town after one post….I don’t get that. How do you know who you are going to get for a role. Its random……slight read scum

Second, I don’t see why you all think endgame is scum. Can someone spell it out for me? Seems like people got nothing better to do but vote him or mitch.

I don’t like aage pushing endgame to five votes this early. Not much of a read by anyone going on. Also, I don’t buy that the night scene has much to do with anything. Maybe its because Im new but it doesn’t seem like anything special.

Not even sure what this is or how it came to life.

I see people calling for me to claim.
Why?
This whole wagon on me is because i was correlating roles to alignments(like a normal mafia game)but here it means nothing.
Me claiming only helps scum on the off chance that i survive the day.

Who do you think is scum?

Who should be lynched?

I will say this you played like scum the last game we played in when you had that super duper over powered role so I will give you that. It is also day one so a lot of BS flying around. Still the way you called out Mitch was suspicious in my eyes. This is day one I could be wrong BUT it was the first thing that got my attention. You reap what you sow my friend.

As far as claiming... we have a deadline in three days. You had six votes. Technically you should claim. Hotshot removing his joke vote may buy you some time BUT with that time step it up.

Make a case on someone. Wing brings up an interesting observation on Strike...hehe he HAS pulled that long post stuff before looking all town like and like he is helping only to be scum.I am not saying he is scum but I also hate walls of text that say little.

Funny you should mention that game.
My role in this one is very,VERY similiar to that.
As for whos scum my top pick has it to be boss.
First off his back and forth with aage thus far regarding the last person to vote strategy seemed strange, seemed like suggesting a random lynch D1(which i usually read as a scum move because it leaves noone accountable for anything)
Then his vote on me was a pure wagon, he only adressess the vote with 3 words.
bosaardbeitje wrote:unvote vote Endgame for flawed reasoning

Then his most recent post using some pretty convoluted logic to decide dakky has admitted to being scum, which not only doesnt really make alot of sense, but i disagree with the conclusion that dakky is scum.
A scum dakky i do not think would stick his neck out for me even the little bit he has,in my experience, dakky as scum just lays as low as possible and only really pops in when mentioned or called.

Ill agree strikes huge post seemed like fluff but that doesn't really say much about his alignment to me.

If you look at that page you'll see that people were voting on behalf of druglords and were even voting in Dutch, no reason to take my post more serious than those.

Secondly, when I vote for someone for reasons already mentioned, I feel absolutely no need to repeat those words.

Finally, I am trying to find out what Dakky is trying to say. Iron pointed at both of you. He only says that Iron is probably wrong about you, but doesn't say anything in his own defense. And now you are defending him. You seem to be very confident about each other.

Uhh no,first off that vote is from page 8.
Probably about 2 days ago in real time and only 25 posts back so you trying to spin it as an early "jokevote" is just not going to fly here.
It was the 4th vote on the wagon after IBs case and if the reasons were already mentioned how can your vote not be a serious vote?

I believe I have countered your last argument about no input by fastposting you. Must also concede on your point where I say 'getting the party started' and following it up with a joke vote. Honest mistake there.

Yeah honest mistake there. You made 4 posts prior to this one on the page. One in which you basically agreed with IB and then restated what has already been said a few times. One in where you call out Mars to clarify on why he's calling you out (a minor attack on Mars) and two where you attacked the person calling you out. [sarcasm]Yeah really counters my opinion that a lot of your activity has been in response to people calling you out as suspicious.[/sarcasm]

Streaker wrote:Also, I wagoned twice in this game (mitch first, then endgame). I voted mitch to get information if he was absent, or on a restriction. Once we got confirmation that he was not absent, I left it.

You wagoned Mitch based on the same reasons I provided (which already weren't revolutionary to mafia gaming). You did little more than say you agreed with IB before voting Endgame. I don't really count those as serious content posts.

Streaker wrote:My wagon on endgame is valid, I feel. The case made is good, and I support it. It's not a mindless wagon.

I followed up with 2 meaningfull posts on Mars, something I am very eager to look further into, and will do so soon.

It's not a mindless wagon but it's not like you are the one driving the wagon. That is (or at least was) IB. I already stated my opinion of your Mars attack earlier in this post.

Endgame422 wrote:Funny you should mention that game.

So you don't want to claim but you have no problem giving a soft claim. Got it.

I will say it is good to get some more content from you but I am not sure how I feel about you effectively picking out the newest person as your choice. So...I've got a more or less neutral opinion on this part of the post.

Brief list of those I think could be scum:

1. Streaker-Above reasons. His play bugs me in this game with a lot of posts that seem like fluff to me and a borderline OMGus attack on Mars. It could be legitimate but I could also see a scum Streaker using a weak case against him as a launching point to discredit not only the attack but the attacker as well.

2. Endgame-IB summed up initial reasons fairly nicely. I don't like the automatic jump assumption that PR enforcer is mafia though his excuse is possibly viable (I know I've made dumber mistakes). I am also like IB suspicious of the interactions between Endgame and Dakky. Finally, I am as said above skeptical about the fact that he pointed out the newest player as his vote.

3. Dakky-As mentioned above his interactions with Endgame. He could just be a dissenter to the bandwagon but his reasoning for why he has held off on the Endgame wagon has been pretty lacking and if I am to believe that he is simply a dissenter I need to hear more from him on that front. Furthermore his interactions in this game beyond that have also seemed lacking.

People who need to speak up.

1. Madmitch-unless he is completely blocked from posting we still do need to hear something from him today.

2. Hotshot-Okay he is still catching up but I respect his opinions if he is town and if he's scum, I can't make a read on someone who isn't posting.

Town read:

1. Tim-This is my only town read. He has said a couple things that sound debatable but his entire presence in this game has seemed like newish town to me.

I considered putting IB on the town list but he's a veteran player and less than 9 pages into Day 1 is too early to make that kind of judgment on a player of his experience and skill level.

Iron's case (as far as you can call anything a case on day 1) was the first one that had some substance to it and that's why I voted for you.

The only players with cases against them are wings case against strike, pts case on streaker,me,and of course boss and mitch, who are getting free passes today because new/restricted
Of these i feel that strike is more likely town because I agree with strike that tim is likely town.
PT pushing streaker for his hard read on virus seems like a case made by a townie.
So in short tim, dakky,PT i consider probable townies
Best guess at scum is boss, streaker
With deadline tomorrow i dont think theres any chance boss gets lynched so im moving onto to streaker.
His read on virus is suspicious, his defense of why he reads virus town is meta, and he says he wants to follow-up on mars but has done no such thing.
This plus the fact that at least one of my townreads is pushing this case is enough to
Vote Streaker
Still think boss is scum but i know that isnt really going to go anywhere in 24/36 hours.

aage wrote:You posted this phrase:
"Would scum restrict one of their own(mitch) D1?"
It sounds like a rhetorical question, because they wouldn't. But you then continue to elaborate on why they would, in a way that makes no sense. It makes 2 assumptions.
A. the restriction imposed on Mitch is a mafia power;
B. the restriction is imposed on Mitch, which means Mitch is mafia.

Those two assumptions are incompatible. You consider a scenario where Mitch is a mafia being silenced by his teammate to make sure he doesn't screw up. You say "it's worth to consider" this, but the problem is that you don't seem to consider other possibilities. If the person with the restriction is town, first off I see no reason to use it on anyone at all, but Mitch might be a valid target because of the reasons you stated - he has a tendency to distract from scumhunting. That makes PR'ing Mitch a town play. If Mitch is town, there is no reason to assume the PR-giver is scum: other than doing town a favour, why would they silence Mitch of all people? There are far better targets out there.

Just wanted to write a thing or two about this: If mitch is mafia, mafia would restrict him in order to make sure he doesn't screw up.
If he was town, there is no reason to blindly silence him, beacause there were better players to post restrict.
That said, I will consider mafia anyone defending Mitch.

I still don't understand what is the logical error?
The draft was - first alignment, then roles, but that is the same isn't it?
So that means now and just after the game started mafia already knew if Mitch is among them or he isn't?
