flexmaster33 wrote:Hi all...I'm considering a slight switch for next season.

Expanding the regular season from a 3-map game to a 5-map game.

That would represent the five starters on a team, and I find that I prefer a five-game series.

I use that 5-game showdown for my NFL and MLS leagues and am thinking about bringing it here for 2025-26. Thoughts?
As much as my game count enjoys only 3 games, 5 games does make sense.
Just a thought, you could do 2 Home Team Map, 1 Away Team Map, 1 Region Map and 1 Random Map. Not sure how much of a headache that would be for you though. I know you put a lot into your tournaments.

Just a handful of active games still going.

Welcome reptile's Nebraska Cornhuskers to the list of conference tourney champs. =D>

So for now, we have automatic bids for Portland, Nebraska and Georgia.

We may be able to have Selection Sunday this coming weekend. We'll see how the results keep coming in.

The Bulldogs share the honors for most wins with 27.

The first of the play-in game matches Sacramento State and Washington for the 16 seed.

This region also boast James Madison, which finished with the best league record in the nation.

Overall, the South features five 20-win teams.

The Midwest Region headed up by Michigan State – the Great Lakes regular season and tournament champion.

The play-in game features Vermont and Idaho, which have a combined 37 wins – the most for any of the four play-in matchups. The winner gets the 15 seed.

Nebraska earned the No. 3 seed and is the only team in this region with all four power-ups. The Cornhuskers reached the Final Four last season.

The Syracuse Orange come in as the Big-East regular season and tournament champions and an impressive 27 wins. They are the only team in this region that holds all four power ups.

The play-in game for the 16 seed sees San Jose State squaring off with Colorado.

South Carolina is a dangerous No. 4 seed after winning the regular season title in the SEC – which rated out as the toughest league in the nation. The Gamecocks came in second in last year’s tournament.

This region also includes reigning champion Arizona State, which opens as a 13 seed. The Sun Devils won last year’s title as a #15 seed.

The CS East Bay Pioneers have taken down top-25 foes all season and have all four power-ups at their disposal, as does No. 3 seed Kansas in what could be a blockbuster Elite Eight showdown on the horizon.

The play-in for this region sees Colorado State taking on Texas for the No. 15 seed.

Watch out for No. 7 seed Niagara which has been on fire since a coaching change about a month into the season.

And here's a league breakdown of the tourney berths.

The Pacific and Mid-America leagues each landed five teams in the bracket.
The SEC, Big East, Great Plains and Rocky Mountain leagues each landed four teams.
The Northwest and Mid-Atlantic each put three teams into the mix.
And the Midwest and the Great Lakes each put two into the bracket.

If you don't see yourself in the breakdown, check the NIT bracket, you may be one of the 16 in that, which also rewards a prize to the winner this year.

NIT games will be sent momentarily, along with the March Madness play-in games.

I'll send out the first round matchups on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so you have time to get some practice in :)

Having to post as we go in the thread, so the Play-In scoreboard is just above this.

Note the power-ups for each team are listed in the black bars that go down the side of the scoring.

Star = Star player
Ball in Basket = Sharp-shooter
Stop Sign = Defensive stopper (applies to all starter maps)
6 = 6th man bonus

For the star player...I will apply that to your home map for the matchup (PG or SG) unless you request it to be used on one of the other starter maps.

Are all the conference tourney's finished except mid-america? How exactly does the star and 6th man bonuses work? Thanks for all the hard work flex and congrats to your son with the playoff win!

We still have active maps in the Pacific, Rocky Mountain and Mid-America finals.

The star bonus offers a points bonus if you win your Home Settings starter map ... either PG or SG.

The 6th man does the same thing for the B1 map.

Toward the bottom of the initial tournament post there is a box with the scoring for March Madness and a closer look at the Power-Ups as well for reference.
