Pack Rat likes to throw around terms like "word salad." Let us look at actual facts and not silly opinions and impotent insults. Let us look at how many ridiculous threads that he has started that no one bothered to respond to, since their premises are so ridiculous. I think these are word salad.

btw: I think p-rat uses the term word salad since he
1) does not comprehend well, and
2) has a limited fukn vocabulary.

Today, August 5, in History, 1305
AD 25 – Guangwu claims the throne as Emperor of China, restoring the Han dynasty after the collapse of the short-lived Xin dynasty.
70 – Fires resulting from the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem are extinguished.
642 – Battle of Maserfield: Penda of Mercia defeats and kills Oswald of Northumbria.
910 – The last major Danish army to raid England for nearly a century is defeated at the Battle of Tettenhall by the allied forces of Mercia and Wessex, led by King Edward the Elder and Æthelred, Lord of the Mercians.
939 – The Battle of Alhandic is fought between Ramiro II of León and Abd-ar-Rahman III at Zamora in the context of the Spanish Reconquista. The battle resulted in a victory for the Emirate of Córdoba.

1305 – First Scottish War of Independence: Sir John Stewart of Menteith, the pro-English Sheriff of Dumbarton, successfully manages to capture Sir William Wallace of Scotland, leading to Wallace's subsequent execution by hanging, evisceration, drawing and quartering, and beheading 18 days later.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_5# ... 0Mercians.

The First War of Scottish Independence was the first of a series of wars between English and Scottish forces. It lasted from the English invasion of Scotland in 1296 until the de jure restoration of Scottish independence with the Treaty of Edinburgh–Northampton in 1328. De facto independence was established in 1314 at the Battle of Bannockburn. The wars were caused by the attempts of the English kings to establish their authority over Scotland while Scots fought to keep English rule and authority out of Scotland.[1]

The term "War of Independence" did not exist at the time. The war was given that name retrospectively many centuries later, after the American War of Independence made the term popular, and after the rise of modern Scottish nationalism

From Global Chat today, August 6:
VinceKillagain: Aug 6th, 1945 On this day in 1945, the U.S. military dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima, instantly killing at least 80,000 people - mostly civilians - and tens of thousands more over the following weeks. The U.S. censored images of the bombing until 1952.

Thanks, VinceK:
VinceKillagain: August 9 (or so), 378: A Gothic army annihilates a larger Roman army at the Battle of Adrianople (modern Edirne). Some two-thirds of the Roman soldiers were killed, including Emperor Valens. This virtual eradication of an imperial army opened the door for the Goths to move into the empire for good and contributed to the eventual collapse of the empire in the west.

In other battles on this date, August 12:

1164 – Battle of Harim: Nur ad-Din Zangi defeats the Crusader armies of the County of Tripoli and the Principality of Antioch.[2]
1323 – The Treaty of Nöteborg between Sweden and Novgorod Republic is signed, regulating the border between the two countries for the first time.[3]

What's childish is that you have posted about 80% by volume of posts here. You spent the last couple of posts here attacking me, even though I have not posted in this thread.

What is this obsession you have for me? Did I turn you on in some homosexual way? I do support Gay Rights, but I don't play that way.

And he HOPES to let a VIDEO speak for him; I suppose his comprehension level is too low to allow a proper response.

Let the Battle begin:
Battle of Tannenberg, (August 26–30, 1914), World War I battle fought at Tannenberg, East Prussia (now Stębark, Poland), that ended in a German victory over the Russians. The crushing defeat occurred barely a month into the conflict, but it became emblematic of the Russian Empire’s experience in World War I.

Gladiators are a Roman tradition, not Greek, p-brat. Learn History, along with many other subjects, too.

AND, on this date, 70 AD
Jerusalem fell to Roman forces—which included Josephus, a former general in the Jewish army who had defected to Rome—marking the collapse of the Jewish state.
and in 2021:
Following a chaotic withdrawal, the last U.S. troops left Afghanistan, some seven years after the war in that country had officially ended.
