I'm pretty sure most people who want the stats hidden from them are BOB users, and yesterday sherkaner released BOB 4.9.8 which hides Conquer Club's stats. So that problem seems to be solved.

Second, thank you lack for pointing us to this and can anyone give me a link? But I still believe that this update should be made optional.

When you enter in a game, View Options in the BOB Menu allows you to turn off Side Stats.

Nice to see it was added. Do not like the Side Stats at all.

Probably not.

It's closer to 0.3%, but we use the numbers that suit us best.

It doesn't slow you down, and you don't have to scroll sideways.

Here is my idea:

You can stop complaining about nothing. Okay, now there are a few numbers on the far right of the map that were not there before. Why the F*** does it matter?

I don't use this feature. I don't generally feel the need to know how many total troops my opponents have. Guess what I'm doing that's different from you: I'm not complaining about anything. What does it matter if there are numbers to the right of players' names if I am not looking at them?

Seriously. The complains about this new feature are the dumbest things I've seen. It's like complaining about the medals on the right of every post. If you don't care about them... DON'T LOOK AT THEM!!!

Answer: it doesn't.

Make it a stupid option, it doesn't affect me. All screaming about how crappy this change is just shows how incapable you are of accepting the slightest change, even one that does not affect you.

I think this poll will probably skew toward the last option, "Make it optional" --- since I'd wager that a larger number of people who visit the forums have BOB and other plugins installed, thus the audience for this poll is probably leaning that direction.

Even if it didn't, the poll would probably skew towards it anyway because people are more likely to vote something that says "let people decide" even when they don't actually want to disable it or even know what it's about.

thanks to the BOB folks for fixing this.

I don't really care about other players having access to such stats, but I was annoyed with the format change. I just got used to the way it was and didn't like having to move things around to see how many cards my opponent has. In an escalating game that's important!

I agree with almost everything Neon Peon said, except that I usually look at the BOB stats.

Since getting BOB (a month ago?) I've come to realize that counting opponent's terts/armies is no longer part of the game, and it's awesome. All it is is a lot less work. I understand that counting armies can be fun, but the people who really like it are in the minority, and you're just going to have to deal with it. I personally don't think that an option for this addition is necessary... it would be just another pestering thing to look at when choosing a game. And if u want to count armies, you can still do it! Seriously, the only thing that can possibly stop people from liking this addition is the fact that others do not look at information that is already in the game log...

The word I believe you are searching for is whining. Or maybe whinging. Something I'm sure you know loads about.

I know someone personally who does not have BOB or has access to the script you mentioned, and they do not like the update at all. I believe it is possible to keep everyone happy.

I think it should be optional. That is my opinion, and I am entitled to it as a paying member of CC. (That's been used a bit. ) You of course, Duality, are entitled to your opinion too.

a majority says make it optional as well, and a fair amount say remove it all together. sounds like the cc community has spoke.


all I want is to not have my screen bounce up and down every time I take a turn, this should be removed, it is annoying. I do not want to update, I like the way it is now, so why drive us crazy with this bouncing of screen? Just remove that. It must be possible, right? I don't think the "bouncing" screen has anything to do with Conquer Club's addition---and is probably caused by plugins out of date, no?

You can't expect CC to modify their code to ensure it still works with an outdated 3rd party product.

I'm not a "farmer". I play in tournaments with other active, competent members, but I find this far too automated.

It's like playing Chess and having a computer sum up how many moves a particular piece is from checking your King.
