Congratz to Blitz's team

Post by Fruitcake »

In all the platitudes and stroking of Blitz's ego going on, a small but select group of two people have been ignored, shame on you all.

Step up.....[player]manic_prophet[/player] and [player]Jobiwan[/player] both now veterans of Blitz's team with nearly ninety games alongside him.

Well done both of you.

Perish the thought that Blitz, who once preached about team playing with junior ranks to me as if it was a sin should have seen the error of his ways and now uses these two to ensure his points loss is minimised.

Huzzah Huzzah for those who live in the shadow of Blitz and his ego, and thrice Huzzah for [player]manic_prophet[/player] and [player]Jobiwan[/player]

Indeed, but I thought that as this seemed so important an issue to Blitz ( that is, the constant playing alongside junior ranks to manipulate one's score) that it really deserved a decent length of time in the sunlight of the GD forum.

Hate the game, don't hate the playaz... :D

In any event, too many people having too many opinions about other players. Always been like that, but also always annoying.

Looking from sort of the same perspective, then you can call the way he gained points farming. It's the same way of getting points as playing 1v1 speed. Which appearently is farming aswell.

It's still a good accomplishment to get to Field Marshall, no matter how you do it (almost, they ways of David Hoekstra for example is utterly horrible).

thx guys, I started teaming with some lower ranks when I got closer to 4000 score so I would not get crippled as much in points. Fc you did this when you were colonel to manipulate the relative rank, but, if you are trying to get to conqueror, it is quite common to try this, still very challenging to do.

I have a question.

Has there ever been a player to use quads to get to Conqueror?

I know I see the freestlye and the dubs freestyle concepts getting there, but I was not aware of the question I left above. Just curious.

As for me it is all about tourneys so I doubt you will ever see me that high.

I am sure it is a nice place to be. =D> =D> =D>

I think sjnap may have reached Conqueror by playing quads. He sure played them a lot back then.

Not to my knowledge, JR24 used a lot of trips in this method to help get him there.

Well actually I did this as I rose from Brig to general Blitz, but hey why let facts get in the way of your opinion, you generally don't.

I have never hidden the fact that the key is to utilise lower ranks to help lift one on the scoreboard, Changsha pointed out it was a standard practice of mine to 'reverse farm' in that I would take on high ranking teams with low ranking team mates to max the return. I have often mentioned there is a symbiotic relationship that ends once the low ranker achieves a certain level.

What I find particularly galling of you is the (usual) manner in which you preached from your own skewed pulpit at me that this kind of practice would 'raise eyebrows' then a few months later indulge in the same practice yourself! Then, to add to the issue, you never bother to be open about this until some one (yours truly) brings it to the attention of the wider membership. Furthermore, you even try to rationalise your betrayal of your own (ahem) principles by your usual method of pedantry.

I can only assume you will revisit the lecture you delivered regarding this practice and eat your words...but this I doubt.

Surely you could post that in every "congrats on general/field marshall/private/cook" thread that pops up instead of singling out this one that actually deserves it's own discussion?

I am unsure why this one needs its own unique thread. Except to bait him....

You answered your own question by saying "this thread was quite different". This one is not a congrats to Blitz, so what does the congrats Blitz thread have to do with it?
