I started to like the rule like "gentleman's agreement", the way KORT had it in recent 2 challenges vs G1 and AoC. and noone problems were there, it was no single game (I think) where any side started 1st turn without other side saw the board.

I'm terribly sorry for confusing you. I was offering my own opinion on the subject, not speaking on behalf of my esteemed clanmates.
In conclusion, I respectfully submit that the fog rule is bollocks.

What happens if I have first turn, but must sit 12 hours. Now I only have 12 hours left and could miss. (Yes I am married, and work full time which requires travel). If the first player misses, I think the 2nd team should miss a turn as well.
Adn when we play classic, no one should be able to attack Jakarta on Round #5. That is my rule. Abide by it, or forfeit.

I was thinking I could have a sitter. But then at game onset, I log in. 13 hours later my sitter takes the turn. That is a violation of account sitting rules. I thought the need to point that out to THOTA, since they may not understand.
Next time you talk to Blitz, give him this for me:

jbr,we(THOTA) didn't make this rule.I spoke to O(your clan leader) and he said yes.Why not bring it up to him instead of carrying on like a little child?Would u like me to change it to "gentleman's agreement"?

as opposed to a clan with one mega multi that takes everyone's turns? good point... at least now we are given credit for 3 teams as opposed to just being "social"...-the black asterisk

I assume THOTA will be providing all bandits with Internet ready devices that support BOB so that we can acquiesce to this provision.

I find it hard to believe that once a game is started that an obsessive compulsive clan won't get a screen shot within the first 30 minutes. I never would worry about such a slight disadvantage and I would never blame a loss on such.

Do you think they all gather around Google docs and study the snapshot? Perhaps there is an elaborate voting process before turns are made. This is really shaking the foundation of all my assumptions.
I still want to know which one of them is Ric Flair.

Well most would say that being a clan with just 3 decent teams is better than being a clan with a convicted cheat as the founder.

Forgetting for the moment that THOTA's reputation has been forever damaged by the fact that their glorious leader is a common criminal (unlike ours who just appears to have big hair...though both have a jesus-complex...hmm...) I would just hope that this contest
can move beyond the disgusting spectacle of THOTA defending the CC-equivalent of a sodomising-kidnapper, and can now be played in the spirit normally shown by our great clan and their bunch of rank boosters, point droppers and general low-lifery... that of total, unabated hatred.
Any less would not just be letting ourselves down, but letting the community as a whole down too. Which would be unforgivable. If this contest is played in any less than a spirit of total contempt then I for one will feel dirtied by the entire experience.

I founded the clan with Blitz's help. It was my idea then we started the process together. What happened to Blitz was a shame and no doubt will hang with us for a long time. There really is nothing else to be said about it, I hope he can come back after a month and rise above it and stop worrying about points and just enjoy the game like we used to for the fun of it.
In future if you don't want to agree to the 12 hour fog rule simply decline it's that easy and there will be no hard feelings. Essentially it changes nothing since everybody would be at the same disadvantage or advantage. A disadvantage/advantage that is minimal anyway.
GL BPB I hope for a good challenge and just enjoy this game we all play without silly drama.

well, i don't think it is silly drama... i think it is a really big embarassing mess that you just kind of want to ignore... i'd do the same... the whole, "calling for civility", was a choice move, but i think you know you are going to get needled by members of our clan and the CC community at large... good luck...-the black asterisk

That's rich when it was one of your chums who made the original comment about the Bandits being a 3 team clan, perhaps you could 'av a word in his/her shell likes instead of your usual THROTA superciliousness and arrogance showing through....but then I suppose this is all we can expect from a bunch of people who condone cheating.

I was speaking for all parties, no one specific. I am not sure why you feel I come off as arrogant/supercilious, or if that is simply you jabbing at the clan in general, or specific to Blitz? I don't know. Unfortunately I came back right at the end of all of this chaos with Blitz and was assured by him there was no malicious intent to his actions and as a good friend should I am inclined to believe him. I hate cheating and I am one of those people when cheating is suggested just feel really awkward about it and don't like to talk about it. I and a lot of our clan really do simply play this game for the enjoyment of it, to have fun and some friendly banter among friends. I love the camaraderie we have as a group and these sort of tournaments and challenges are the best part of this site imo.
The reason I came in and said 'please no silly drama' is simply because I miss the days when we used to actually have a laugh and just enjoy the game, Blitz too. I don't know when everything became so serious and it's a real shame it has, because it makes this place far less fun and enjoyable than it used to be.

I think you will find that the bandits have a reputation for not taking this all too seriously. On the other hand you may look to your own clan for the complete opposite. So when you start externalising maybe look to your own house.

I think DW is right, you guys want to bring all this drama up about Blitz and are directing it toward the rest of the clan. Why dont you take it up with him when he comes back. You guys started slinging mud first, not that retaliation is in order, but please, lets drop it. I agree it was uncalled for from both sides.
