sensfan wrote:Korea's ultimate soccer championship played out on conquer club!

I'm back and on summer vacation (w00t) so I'll be able to run this tourney well!
There are 16 teams in the K-League, so a 1v1 tourney

Freemiums may play, but keep 1 slot open at all times.

Maps
If we can get enough players to start before July 17th, than we will start on the world cup map.
After that all other matches will be played on Asia.
If Three Kingdoms of Korea gets quenched while this tournament is running, with consent of the players we might switch to that map.

Settings:
Automatic, Sequential, No Spoils, Chained, Sunny (No Fog)

The sixteen teams are:
Busan I'Park -- [player]HighlanderAttack[/player]
Chunnam Dragons -- [player]leverpuller[/player]
Daegu FC
Daejeon Citizen -- [player]Sensfan[/player]
Gangwon FC -- [player]aram77[/player]
Gwangju FC
Gyeongnam FC
Incheon United -- [player]Evil Semp[/player]
Jeju United -- [player]Willo.Kings[/player]
Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors -- [player]fuzzy316[/player]
Pohang Steelers -- [player]mcshanester29[/player]
Sangju Sangmu Phoenix -- [player]torontorocko[/player]
Seongnam Ilwha Chunma JPB12
FC Seoul -- [player]callmecommander[/player]
Suwon Samsung Bluewings -- [player]wilkinc[/player]
Ulsan Hyundai -- [player]perchorin[/player]

Looking for a team:
jjmracing (he will take the last team possible)

Reserves:

The tournament will be round-robin with a playoff:

3rd place in season vs. 6th
4th vs. 5th

winner of the first two playoff matches play each other

that winner plays second place

that winner plays first place in final, only one match (contrary to the link below, whose final has 2 matches)

example here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_K-League_Championship#Bracket

win in 5 rounds: 3-0
win in 8 rounds: 3-1
win in 11 rounds: 2-0
win in 14 rounds: 2-1
win in 18 rounds: 1-0
18+ rounds: 1-1 draw

Let's go, doubles!

Hi there,
Chunnam beat Suwon in 8 rounds, so I believe that's a 3-1 victory? :)
First time I'm reporting a victory on a thread, so I hope I've got it right here. Please let me know if anything is amiss. Thanks! And much appreciation also for organizing this tourney =D>
Cheers,
Leverpuller

What does it mean on the top of the standings where you say:
"Round 4 made. I have discontinued the goal system because of errors I have been making. Sorry."
Can we get some explanation about that? How are the standings going to be determined from this point on? Does the round you win in no longer matter???

No it does not matter but you still must win in 18 rounds. The 19th round is a draw. Sorry.
