[SCSY] Points for Second and Third Place

Maybe you should lose less points progressively, depending on what position you finish in.

So first eliminated loses the most, last eliminated loses the least, percentage wise.

I think all losers should lose some points, but a sliding scale might add some interest to games where you get a bad start and have no real chance of winning. At least then you can try to hang on and do some clawing back, to save yourself some points...

btw shouldn't this be in the suggestions forum? lack is more likley to see it there...

I don't like the percentage option.

If you lose, you lose.

You could get screwed by your turn in the game (sequential games) and you coudl get screwed by where your armies are if you don't have any other armies around to help fortify.

29‹AussieLighthorse› POINTS FOR BEING 2 ND AND 3RD....i think points should be given for being there at the end of the game instead of the winner getting all.. i am ususally the last to go but get no recognition for that...i real life that would always be taken into consideration.

This would be nice but I remember someone bringing this one up in the past and some others argued that it would just encourage secret diplomacy/multis which stands to reason. At least now only one cheater gets the points.

that is dumb as hell. finishing 5th or 2nd is the same, you lost. if players start playing for something else than winning it would change the whole game strategy, games would last forever and would be a real lame game. just play terminator games then.

Reject this already. It's so bad.

All I see changing in this is that the actual winner gets less points (bad) and people will start teaming up together to become first and second in a game (bad).

In addition, there is no mention of what would happen in an assassin game or different game types.
