You can go a little smaller on the map size by rearranging of your legend items. Something like this and you will end up with a map size of approximately 1304x1172.

looks cool!
Isn t there a bit too much for each bonus though? i m afraid that who starts wins on this type of map, mostly in 1vs1.

In the legend riot in suburbs it's written if we... wasn't suppose to be written if you?

Regardless of some spelling, I think it's a great big map, nice for quad.

For the suburbs bonus, it's +3 to take control of three region of 5 neutral... can it be +1 for a single region around Paris?

isn't the same thing with First Nation Americas? The BIG one. Or even World 2.1?

I think maybe some region can always be 2 neutral at beginning, like in Celtic Nations (and plenty others)

BTW I love the new legend, more understandable!

Looking at the map image, it still seems unnecessarily large for some reason.

Do you really need it to be that large? It looks like there's lots of wasted space... All the territories are so large, it seems to me you could easily make the image smaller.

Firstly, I think the text in the legend needs to be bigger. I can barely read it.

Next, I'm not entirely clear as to what is going on with Bretagne Is there a separate bonus for it? And furthermore, the names of the territories are impossible to read with that pattern. try putting a glow around the words.

And you should try to fit the word Belfort on the map, You could clip Haut Rhine a little and fit it that way. Which would be much better than a simple 5.

Rearrange the legend, mini-map and Paris inset like I have done here as an example. You can go a little wider than what is shown here to make sure all the game instructions and such will be clear and easy to read.

I didn't knew there was any map limit per country
but if it was then USA has about 10 maps so we are pretty under limit here
nationalism apart

Actual France map is completely inaccurate totally wrong spelled and so poor graphically speaking
but rules were you can't modify a map without its author approval
and reverend Kyle never showed up since 3 years now so it was impossible to revamp it

so I did France 1789 which was a way to revamp without touching

but what is proposed here is a complete different map
with the nowadays 96 departments division
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

i don't really think this map is much of an improvement though

You're going to want to address the above if you want this to get moved into the main foundry.

The Legend's still a bit too small, hard to read it.

However, nice graphics improvement, this map looks lovely!

And to an answer of a comment that I read: Having a third map of France, totally different is very nice. Why do you need 3 AoR? And one USA map for each state? Let these guys create what they want!

If you get rid of the box around the legend you can make the font a bit bigger without cutting more into the map. It will make things a bit easier to read. Cool looking map!

Think you can add some texture to this map? If you need help doing so, let me know.

Great job lancelot!
Just some remarks on design

it misses 2 . for LR ( L.R.) as P.A.C.A

And i think it's possible to add corse ensign (moor's head) on corse territories, without burdening map of course.

Keep on!
