Sounds like an honest lad with a good head on his shoulders. I nominate max.
Man, what is this world coming to?
I'd be able to give up a few hours as I've now been allowed back onto CC frequently, and sat on it all day today...

I stick by my previous post saying there should be multiple grievance mods. Maybe like 5, or 3. I'd have time to do it. It is summer, you know.

. Plus, I've had experience on another site on being a moderator, and have deleted posts as well as moderating 3 separate stations. I'd put my effort into this project. But, as I said before, there should be more than one mod for this job. Max looks like a good pick since he'll have time for the job, and understands the problems pretty much without mods.

2 maybe, but it doesn't seem like there are too many grievances actually posted yet (Discounting stb04 or whoever it is)

Grudges are held by losers all over the place. Non of us are safe from getting grievances, even if we play and speak perfectly reasonably. This site is nothing like ebay, because losers are nothing but dissatisfied customers. I think it's a waste of time to have to go in and read on a player if he/she has grievances, when all that is needed is to play that person once for yourself and if you don't like it, stick them on ignore. If people give repeated complaints about certain players for misbehavior, maybe a "3 strikes, you're out" idea would be the ploy. Doesn't have to be three strikes, could be another number, and it could be per time. Say 6 strikes/6 months or whatever would be appropriate.

I think we should have a poll once everyone who wants to be a greivance mod has signed up and 3 with most votes at the end of 14 days are the greivance moderators so it's decided from the people for the people

yea but some people have made more friends or more enemies than others and some of the people might be new and nobody knows them so i think it would be fair if the moderators and administrators picked

Well I don't remember the crying emoticon but hey...
I just think we need someone with a few years on their shoulders, someone with a lot of maturity and experience with mod jobs...
And at the end of the day, this is Lacks website and Twill is one of the staff, I think it's up to them who they employ don't you?

I agree. For greivances to be under control for one person, he/she will have to spend a lot of time on here. having a few mods, preferably from different time zones, would help keep the greivances under control and let the mods have a social life

i have a social life and still spend six hours minimum a day on here lol

I really don't see how it is necessary to have more than 1 grievance moderator. I've read all the grievances on the scoreboard, and it only took an hour or two, and that was for all the grievances in the last 2 weeks. Of course it would take some time to check related game logs and such if that was needed, but so far there have only averaged a few new grievances a day.
Just my two cents.

I think we're discussing more than actually doing something about it. The moderators should decide soon.

I have had massive response to this, there have been almost 15 applications...and I havn';t gone through most of them yet.
I will be working on this this weekend and will probably pick 2 mods seeing as so many want it.
I'll put up a short list when I come up with one and will open it for comment, but the final decision will rest with Lack and myself.

What the heck, I'll throw my hat into the ring too.
Once a Grievance moderator is selected though I think you're going to need another forum specifically for it or some sort of database to record grievances that were moderated. Just to show people that things are being done. This would be also be useful to keep track of players who simply file another grievance (if possible) once if a previous pointless one is erased.
Also if there are going to be rules preventing people from filing counter-grievances, the G. mod should have some sort of administrative punishment (Mod grievance) against people who file stupid grievances. Otherwise you should consider it okay to file grievances against people who file stupid ones or there's no punishment at all for doing it.
